How to be Parisian - New Look Biker Jacket

New Look Biker Jacket
New Look Biker Jacket - £39.99
New Look Leather Look Biker Jacket
New Look Leather Look Biker Jacket
While other girls buy sensible winter coats in beautiful pastel shades or waterproof macs, I go for a jacket, with no hood or wet weather protection…it may not be very sensible but I love it.

I do have a 'leather' jacket with a hood already but I'm not keen on it and wanted a 'proper' biker jacket so asked Vince for this one for Christmas. He was a very good boyfriend and it was sitting, waiting for me under the tree on Christmas day. It fits perfectly and the quilted shoulders are pretty dreamy.

It's perfect for throwing on over any outfit but I particularly love it with a pair of black skinny jeans and a breton striped top. For £39.99 I think this is quite reasonable, when in the likes of Topshop you'd be paying double for fake leather jackets.

What do you think of biker jackets? Let me know in the comments.

New Look Aztec CardiganNew Look Aztec Cardigan New Look Aztec CardiganNew Look Aztec Cardigan
New Look: Grey Aztec Open Front Cardigan - £22.99, Black Leather-look Collar Crepe Shell Top - £14.99

This post has been sitting in my drafts for ages and I completely forgot about it! It's just a quick post to show you one of my favourite recent outfits featuring a new top and cardigan.

For my birthday I received some New Look vouchers and surprisingly it didn't take me very long to spend them! I practically zoomed around the shop picking up things I liked and headed to the changing rooms. I picked up the Black Leather-look Collar Crepe Shell Top as I adore little collared tops and this one is just gorgeous. It's perfect for wearing casually or dressing up for an interview or going out.

I also picked up the Grey Aztec Open Front Cardigan, which is something a little different for me. As someone who always wears black it's quite strange that I went for something that is white (admittedly there is black patterning but ssh!). I just love the print on this and it's so cosy that I really couldn't resist. Teaming the two new buys together has created a look I really like. I tend to wear this with jeans and ankle boots but it can also be worn with a skirt like the above for a bit of a smarter take.

What do you think of collared tops and patterned cardigans?

You can call this a warning

Look out, here comes the Autumn! I've been bringing you tshirt dress after tshirt dress but this one is my Autumn/Winter look with the addition of some tights. Haha. I bought this dress for a mere £5 from a blog sale and I really love it but it's a tad short so the tights are definitely needed.

I love the Aztec style print but I decided to add a little belt just to break it up a bit. I'm not even sure where I got the belt to be honest and it's a bit chewed thanks to Charlie but I think it works well with the dress, it's just annoying there are no belt loops to hold it up! Other than the belt I'm not sure it needs many more accessories, it's quite busy already so I've decided not to add a chunky necklace or anything like that.

This is a perfect casual, every day dress and although I haven't yet it will definitely be something I wear to work regularly. I could even add a pair of heels to smarten it up a little bit. I do love a dress that is so versatile.

Let me know what you think and don't forget to check out a few extra photos over on my Facebook page.

ASOS Mini Skater Dress in Flocked Spot

Hello outfit post! Now, I'm not sure if these photos are a tad on the large size, but let me know if they are! It's a bit of a case of trial and error with outfit photos. I'm never sure how to present them.

Recently I won a £50 ASOS voucher and this dress was one of the items I picked up, although I'm pretty annoyed to see it's now only £14 down from £28! If I had saved the voucher I probably could have got a lot more. I decided to pick this up as I'm really liking tshirt/skater dresses recently and I spotted (no pun intended!) this one and thought it was absolutely lovely. Tshirt dresses are so easy to wear, especially when it's hot weather, they're so easy to just throw on and in the winter I'm planning on just throwing on some tights and a thick cardigan with it.

They're simple to accessorise to. Here I've just put on a necklace I haven't actually worn in absolutely ages. It's nice to dust it off and put it on again!

I really like the scooped back on this dress, which I wasn't actually expecting when it arrived. I thought it would be too low and would show off my bra strap but it's fine so it's definitely not being returned. I've also bought a grey and white version, which I'm sure I will photograph soon!

PS. You can find some extra outfit shots over on my Facebook page.

Pearly King

Primark boucle top - £12
Internacionale Supersoft skinny jeans - £17.99

Another outfit post where I can't actually link to the product online, argh! This one, as you've probably guessed, is a Primark top. I picked it up while doing a quick shop, I immediately noticed the boucle style pattern and the pretty pearly collar detail. I was a bit put off by the chiffon sleeves but I've grown to quite like them!

As I was in a bit of a hurry I didn't stop and try this on, I just grabbed my size and hoped it would fit. Luckily it does! Annoyingly though the collar chain came unstitched before I even wore it so I had to first sew it back on and now after just one wear there is a thread in it already, although I kind of blame Charlie for that!

It's not something I would usually wear but I really like it and I love all the detail! I think it was about £12 or something like that, what a great buy!

Internacionale Black Bat Jumper

Internacionale Black Bat Jumper
Interacionale: Black Bat Jumper - £19.99

I recently saw Michelle rocking the J.W Anderson for Topshop Bat jumper and thought it was gorgeous. Unfortunately I didn't want to splash out around £60 just for a jumper, so I picked up a much cheaper alternative from Internacionale for £19.99.

I bought it around Halloween time so it's pretty perfect for that time of month, but now it's November and I'm still wearing it and loving it. It's so cosy and warm and I was definitely in need of some winter clothing.

I apologise for the poor picture of the jumper. Having moved into a new house I thought I'd finally have somewhere to perfect outfit photos, but unfortunately it seems my yellow walls are not quite right for such things. It's really rather annoying as I can't find a good spot to take pics. I tried taking them outside but the sun was shining too much so I'm back to square one!

Black & Multi Cat Print Belted Silk Capped Sleeve Dress
Lavish Alice: Black & Multi Cat Print Belted Silk Capped Sleeve Dress - £10
New Look: Black Drop Pocket Boyfriend Cardigan - £12.99
Zara: Basic Shopper - £19.99

I wanted to show you all my lovely new cat print dress from Lavish Alice. I've never tried buying anything from this brand before but I had a little look and snapped this beauty up from the sale section for just £10, bargain!

It's very rare that I am able to take a full length photo of my outfit. Once my spare room is sorted out I'm hoping to have some space to take pics, but until then this will have to do!

The dress is a lovely silky material, covered in multi-coloured cat print. It came with a bow style belt but I didn't really like it so replaced it with my studded Topshop one from years ago.

It's so comfortable and I really like the capped sleeves, great for when the weather warms up a bit. It's a bit shorter than what I usually wear but all in all, a really great find!

New Look: Dark Red Tregging - £16.99

Matalan Skull Bracelet
Matalan: Skull Bead Bracelet - £5

Kukee Spike Earrings
Kukee: Spike Earrings - £2

This outfit is another one of those really comfy ones that you can throw on when you can't think of anything else to wear or you can't really be bothered to make much effort.

I bought the New Look Treggings at the weekend as I've been looking for some more leggings that weren't black. I like the fact that these look like jeans but are a nice soft, comfortable material. I love the colour as well, brilliant for Autumn/Winter!

I bought the Matalan Metallic Lurex Tee while on my lunch break a few weeks ago. It's really simple and loose fitting but is great for wearing with leggings as it has a bit of a drop hem. The feel of it is really weird and there is a slight hint of shimmer within it as well. It's a really pretty top and for £10 it was a real bargain!

While in Matalan I also bought the Skull Bead Bracelet, which is a lot like the Topshop version but a whole lot cheaper! I've been wearing it pretty much every day since I bought it and I love it!

The Spike Earrings are another daily jewellery staple for me. I absolutely love them as they were only £2 as well! I made a big Kukee order recently and these were part of it, they're gorgeous!

All in all this outfit is very simple and very me. Perfect for lounging around the house in! Let me know what you think!

Oh Love.

I shouldn't really be doing any shopping at all, not when I am supposed to be saving all of my money to buy bits for the new house, but I couldn't resist a small shopping trip to Matalan recently while on my lunch break.

Sometimes when I see something on a rail I can tell instantly if it's something I will wear and I pick it up and put it straight in my basket, without even needing to try it on.

The tshirt pictured was one of those items. I loved the faded Aztect print and the fit is lovely and casual while not being too scruffy looking. It goes well with my velvet leggings and flatforms too and just helps to create a really simple outfit!

It's a lovely thin material so perfect for the warm weather but also looks great under a cardigan or jacket.

It's just a shame that I can't find the item on the Matalan website as I can't remember how much I paid for it! I think it was around £10 or under which is really reasonable!

Monki: Pink Lerima Top - €8
New Look: Gold & Silver Spike Necklace - £4.99, Safia Dip Hem Skirt - £19.99

Not a brilliant outfit photo but I still haven't mastered doing full length ones just yet. I tend to take outfit photos while standing on my bed as that's really the only place I have a blank wall. I also tend to chop my head off outfit photos because I'm usually never wearing any make up and my hair is still damp as I've let it dry naturally! I will work on this though!

I haven't actually worn the skirt properly yet as it hasn't really been warm enough, but now the sun is coming out I think it might be time to throw it on! I decided to pair it with a tshirt I picked up from the Monki store on Carnaby street. It's really casual and loose fitting but can be dressed up as well.

The skirt has a lovely drop hem which I love. It's perfect for someone as short as me as it feels like I'm wearing a maxi skirt but it doesn't make me look really stumpy because you can see my legs at the front. Amazing! It's the perfect beach skirt as well and looks great with some cute sandals or flip flops!

If only I was going away on holiday this year, this would be the first thing I would pack in my suitcase!

Internacionale Mint Heart Print Dress
Internacionale Mint Heart Print Dress
Internacionale: Mint Heart Print Dress - £10
I'm not 100% sure about this dress. It's such a pretty colour and print but the waistband is just weird! It's much too high up and it gives me a strange shape. However, I think I could definitely get used to it.

I picked this up in the Internacionale sale. It was actually Buy One Get One Free and I didn't realise so when I got to the till and the cashier informed me I had to do a quick dash around the sale rails and find something. This dress had been catching my eye for weeks and as they had it in my size still I guess it was some sort of sign!

I can't complain too much if I got it for free I suppose. It's another nice addition to my wardrobe and I think it will be fine for work. What do you think?

Prove Me Right.

Internacionale: Ivory Hanky Hem Shirt - £7
Pop Couture: Maisie Floral Print Skinny Jeans - £24.99

I've been promising an outfit photo featuring this vest top for ages but I've not been able to find much to pair it with. I can't really wear it on it's own without a cardigan in this sort of weather as it's so cold!

I decided to finally pair it with my new floral jeans from Pop Couture, which is a site I've never shopped from before. I was really impressed with the delivery, it was super fast! The fit is a bit off though. I bought a size 8 as that's what I usually am but these are ridiculous tight! I'd say they're more of a size 6, but I like the length and I think they'll stretch after a wash or two, so they're keepers!

I actually really like the print and the colours. I was originally planning on getting some floral jeans in lighter shades but I think I much prefer these! It's just difficult to find a plain top to pair with them!

What else would you pair these with?

New Look Black Studded Collar Dress
Yet another sleeveless dress to add to my collection!

This one featured in one of my Wednesday Wishlist posts not too long ago and I bought it on a whim one day.

The fact that it had a studded collar really made it for me. I had no idea the collar was made of 'leather' until it arrived and I loved it even more when I realised!

I love the sheer skirt and underskirt but it wasn't as fitted as I'd liked. Although the waist does look cinched in, I decided to tie the waist belt around the front to just pull it in a little bit more and give it some shape!

I was contemplating sending it back but after trying it on a couple of times I decided to keep it. It's quite smart and casual at the same time and I think the collar gives it a pretty cool edge.

Internacionale Flower Dress
Internacionale: Flower Shirt Dress - £15

Internacionale Flower Dress
I don't know what's wrong with me. I keep buying lovely Summer dresses like this one! It's a little like the shirt dress I recently bought from New Look but this one has a more cinched in waist which gives me a bit more shape!

I spotted this one in Internacionale for £15 in the sale. I think it's perfect for wearing every day as well as something a bit smarter for work!

I'm really unimaginative when it comes to my wardrobe and I usually just throw on my jeans and a top but I'm trying to not wear jeans almost every day and I definitely want to wear more dresses, so this is perfect.

I love the thin belt and the print is definitely my sort of colour!

Are We The Waiting

Are We The Waiting
Store Twenty One: Fleck Tshirt
H&M: Navy Skirt

Are We The Waiting
Topshop: Square Etched Ring - £7

Are We The Waiting
eBay: OPI Spiderman Minis - £13

This is a really simple and comfortable outfit, perfect for the hot weather we had at the weekend.

I bought the top from Store Twenty One on Saturday and it's not often I actually find something in there worth wearing. It is a kind of cream/brown shade with the same fleck pattern as the Topshop Neppy Tee which I actually bought and returned because I preferred this one better! I love the twisted neckline as well!

The skirt is an old one from H&M that I pulled out of the back of the wardrobe and haven't worn in about a year! It's featured on the blog in the past and I love wearing it with a tucked in top like this.

The ring is one I bought recently online and absolutely love. I don't often wear rings and I have a load of them just lying around but I love how chunky this one is.

You may recognise my nails from an earlier post this week, they're the Spiderman OPI collection, I think they all go great together!

New Look Stone Ditsy Heart Print Shirt Dress

With it being so hot this past weekend, this was literally the only thing I could bear to wear.

On Friday I wore skinny jeans to work and was absolutely melting so no matter how self concious I felt about my arms/shoulders and having my legs on show I just had to get into something cool!

I'm really glad I bought this dress actually as I got some lovely compliments (although they might not count if they're from my family?) and I felt very comfortable in it all day. It's so fun and floaty and I love the shirt collar and the waist tie belt.

I think it's the perfect casual dress for hot days but I think it'd be great to wear to work as well. It's got a kind of smart edge to it which I love. It was definitely £25 well spent in my opinion!

New Look: Twill Luxe Blazer - £24.99, There Was A Girl Leopard Heart Top
Topshop: Velvet Leggings

When I wear this outfit I become a bit of a walking New Look advertisement. I bought the blazer and top on the website and the top was actually advertised as being worn under the blazer and I thought it looked quite nice so I added that to my basket as well.

The blazer is the perfect casual/smart mix. As you can see I wear it here with a casual top underneath and some leggings but it also works with smarter trousers and a blouse underneath, perfect for interviews and important meetings etc...

The Velvet leggings are continuing to serve me well! They're the perfect Sunday lounge about item but I also enjoy wearing them to work some days just to get some extra comfort! I've just ordered a new tshirt from Topshop to wear with them actually, I will definitely try and get a photo up when it arrives!

New Look: Swallow Print Top - £9.99
Skirt: Primark

Sorry for the repeat wear of this skirt but I love it so much! I think the Swallow Print Top goes great with it and I felt really comfortable wearing it the other day at work!

The sleeves on the top aren't as weird and pointy as I first thought. It's really loose fitting so great for the warmer days. I think it's a pretty smart looking outfit again and I'd love it with a blazer instead of a normal cardigan!

These are my favourite types of outfit. They're so easy to put together and don't take much thought! I think it might be getting a bit warm to continue wearing tights with it though!

Let me know what you think!

River Island: Gold Torque Necklace - £7
Matalan: Pleat Front Box Top - £12
Skirt: Primark
Essie: Lapiz of Luxury - £7.99

Despite this top being completely different to what I usually wear, it's actually become quite a favourite of mine. It's quite smart but not too over the top.

I wore this very outfit last week for my photographs at work. I absolutely despise having my photograph taken so it was a big deal for me but I'm glad I look semi-smart thanks to this outfit.

The skirt is one I picked up from Primark not long ago and I'm really glad it hasn't lost its shape yet! I bought a similar one from Internacionale and after one or two wears it was completely out of shape which is really annoying. I also have the skirt in a red version which I'm yet to wear!

Am also loving the River Island necklace! I've featured it in the past and I really thought I wouldn't have anything to wear it with but it looks great with anything! I'm really glad you can adjust it as well so it's not too tight and choking!

I think this is one of my favourite outfits at the moment! Let me know what you think!

Topshop: Pink Sleeveless Grandad Shirt - £7 in Sale, Petite Velvet Leggings - £22
LOVE: Boyfriend cardigan*

Let me introduce you to my weekend outfit! This is what I usually wear to slob around the house inbetween eating and blogging. The Topshop velvet leggings have got to be the most comfortable things ever! They were such a huge trend in the blogging community late last year so I just had to get myself some.

I wasn't sure about them at first, I mean, they're velvet, but I got used to them and now I couldn't imagine not having them!

The shirt is also something I wouldn't usually buy, especially as it's pink and sleeveless. It's actually perfect for wearing with leggings as it has a dipped hem at the front and at the back. If I'm brave enough, I might even wear it without a cardigan over the top in the summer!

What is your go to weekend outfit?
