Boohoo Spring/Summer: Monochrome Madness

Boohoo Spring SummerBoohoo Spring Summer

Boohoo Spring SummerBoohoo Spring Summer

Glance quickly at the new Boohoo Spring/Summer collection and you might think you're looking at some kind of optical illusion, but in actual fact the brand has gone monochrome mad, in a good way of course.

Monochrome, dogtooth and gingham are HUGE right now and boohoo have gone with it in a big way. I simply adore the different patterns layered on top of one another, not something I would have thought would work, but it really does.

My favourite look has got to be the simple striped tee, jeans and polka dot boots. This is definitely something I could wear myself, infact it probably already is one of my go-to outfit choices. I never would have considered the boots before but they really give the outfit an edge.

I also can't get enough of the pops of colour. Bright pink and monochrome is absolutely perfect but I'd also work pastel shades with the monochrome prints to toughen them up a bit.

How are you styling monochrome prints this spring/summer?

eBay Spring/Summer 2013 and rucksack giveaway

Recently I was contacted about the new eBay Spring/Summer 2013 collection. It's been a while since I featured any lookbooks but this has reignited my love for them so you can expect to see some more in the very near future!

I used to think of eBay as a place where people try to get rid of all their old junk, like an online car boot sale, but it's really come on leaps and bounds in the fashion stakes and I now use it to search for reasonable priced clothing. You can find some great, good quality pieces if you search hard enough and I'm really impressed with the new Spring/Summer collection.

Launching on May 14 the collection is made up of 40 key pieces, showcasing wardrobe essentials. It has been styled by Navaz Batliwalla, also known as Disneyrollergirl, and features five different trends including Surfer Girl, Modern Romance, Scandi Minimalist, 60s Monochrome and Print Clash.

The lookbook is viewable online right here and it's just perfect for browsing the different looks made up of brands such as French Connection, Boohoo and Joe Browns. You can get your hands on the collection here

My absolute favourite piece is the Joe Browns paisley print rucksack, which is a pretty reasonable £21.95. The very kind people of eBay are offering readers of my blog the chance to win a rucksack by following the entry instructions below.

Primark S/S 2013

It seems a bit early to be thinking about Spring/Summer clothing while there is the threat of snow on the way, but give it a chance and you'll fall in love with the dreamy pastels, florals and girly style.

The sports luxe is still lingering in a few of the pieces from the lookbook, which I think looks great, but unfortunately it's not something I can pull of myself. I do however love the girly pastel dresses that have been toughened up with chunky shoes and lots of leather.

I'm never usually one for wearing such floral and bright clothes, they always seem to look better on everyone else. I do tend to run with the Spring/Summer accessories though so I will certainly be picking up a minty pastel bag and cool sunnies.

Primark Autumn/Winter 2012 Lookbook

I just love the distinction between the Autumn and Winter looks in this lookbook. The autumn looks bare a very English countryside resemblance. The style is very tailored with a cute, feminine edge.

I love the polka dot and diamond patterns and the embellished collars and I also love the mix of different patterns in each outfit. This is really great, everyday wear and I particularly love the bags and accessories!

The Winter looks are a complete contrast. It's all about bringing a touch of glam to the winter wardrobe and I really love when companies think like this. Just because it's winter doesn't mean our wardrobes have to become dowdy and unimaginative. I especially like the denim shirt and sequin skirt, not something I would have thought of putting together but I think it really works.

I'm hoping to take a trip to Primark on Friday so I'll definitely be trying to source some of these bits.

Yesterday I mentioned that Vince and I had been looking at houses and flats to possibly move into so I thought this would be the perfect follow on post.

I recently received the Matalan Home Autumn/Winter 2012 Lookbook and was really impressed by everything inside. Autumn/Winter are definitely my seasons as everything in the Lookbook has that lovely homely feel!

The Lookbook features three different styles; Faded Grandeur, Rustic Charm and Monochrome and I love all of them.

As you can see, lots of amazing pieces. These days you don't really need to decorate a room in order to give it a theme, I think dotting little bits and pieces around the place is a much simpler way of creating a feeling in a room.

I think the cushions are definitely my favourite pieces from the Lookbook, what are your favourites?

Matalan Autumn/Winter 2012 Lookbook

I was so pleased to be sent this brilliant new lookbook for Matalan A/W 2012. I know it's still only July and the sun is just starting to make an appearance, but Autumn and Winter are my two favourite seasons when it comes to dressing.

I love being wrapped up in lots of layers and being nice and warm! Matalan has gone for a mix of dark and glamorous with cool and casual.

I'm loving the leather dresses and dark midnight shades as well as the warm and friendly jumpers paired with edgy leggings and accessories.

The accessories are even better. I adore browsing the rails in Matalan for cool scarves and shoes as well as jewellery and their stocks of bags are so impressive!

Some of the items are already making their way into stores which is extremely exciting! I'm keen to get my hands on the flatforms and the popular fox bags!

I think Matalan have done Autumn/Winter 2012 so well. There are so many things I absolutely adore in this Lookbook. I am quickly putting together my own Matalan wishlist!

F+F at Tesco High Summer 2012 Lookbook

It's been a little while since I featured a Lookbook. I've been waiting for some of the newer High Summer books to be released as I featured the normal S/S '12 ones quite a while back.

The reason I always feature F+F is because of the bargain prices! It's just as good quality clothing as your normal High-Street stores but it's about half the price.

I tried to stay away from the usual bikinis and swimsuits and instead go for images of pieces I'd actually wear myself! The mark t-shirt is definitely something I'd wear and I love the relaxed, casual look it creates while also remaining pretty stylish.

The last two images are particular favourites of mine mainly due to the colours! I love the Coral stripe jumper which is perfect for chilly evenings and looks great with a pair of pastel jeans as seen.

Blouses/shirts in this style are huge at the moment and I love that they've been cropped for the summer. The colour of this one is just gorgeous and I love that it's not sleeveless!

Forever 21 Love Is Free
Admittedly I've never been to Forever 21 before but I am just dying to! I have a trip to London coming up in June and I am desperate to have a look around their store on Oxford street! I'm also patiently waiting for Forever 21 to open in Cabot Circus (fingers crossed), it will happen one day!

This Lookbook caught my eye mainly because of the vibrant and pastel colours! The 'Love Is Free' campaign features pink haired model, Charlotte Free. I expect that pink hair takes a lot of up-keep but it works so wonderfully within this lookbook!

I love the little coloured jumpers and sharp collars in this lookbook as well as the soft pencil skirt and tees. All the pieces are pretty casual but I can totally see some of them being worn by me! I'm going to need a big budget when I visit the London store!

What do you think of the new F21 Lookbook?
