Vanish Oxi Action

Vanish Oxi Action Stain Remover
Vanish Oxi Action Fabric Stain Remover - £3.58*

This is a bit of a strange blog post to write as I'm not reviewing a fashion or beauty product, but something that helps keep those fashionable threads clean!

I was recently sent the Vanish Oxi Action Fabric Stain Remover to try out and seeing as I have just moved into a new house and am doing lots and lots of washing, it seemed like a great product to say yes to.

I mostly seem to wash Vince's clothes, (I have no idea how he ends up with more washing than me!) and in particular I have been trying to get out a pretty tough grease stain on one of his new jumpers (from squeezing a burger for your information). I've always known the brand Vanish to be good for stain removal, including food, drink and coffee stains, so I did wonder how good it would be at getting something like grease out! Bearing in mind the grease stain had already been washed into the jumper in previous attempts!

My mum told me to scrub at the stain with some washing liquid but that didn't work at all so I was just about trying anything really. I added a scoop of Vanish to the wash and the jumper has actually come out looking great. The stain is pretty much gone! One more wash and I think it will be gone completely, saving Vince's new jumper and £35 he would have had to spend to get a new one if the stain hadn't come out!

So, I was really impressed and I'm quite happy that there is lots of product left as well. I'm particularly clumsy and am always dropping food down myself so this product is going to come in so handy.

Have you tried it?

Timothy Roe Jewellery

I was recently contacted by the lovely people at Timothy Roe jewellery and was asked if I'd like to try something from their Spinning Jewellery collection.

Now, I'm not really sure why it is called a spinning jewellery collection, but I decided to choose a pair of earrings to review.

I absolutely love earrings so I had quite a tricky time deciding which pair to get, but I finally settled on the Flower Stud Earrings, worth £19.

Although I love earrings, I think £20 is probably my limit when it comes to buying them. Unless they were real diamonds of course! For a pair of sterling silver earrings I think these are quite reasonable. They're very dainty and pretty, great for special occasions!

I never usually wear stud earrings in my first set of piercings. I can usually be seen wearing some kind of dangly earring so it feels strange having studs in but it means I don't have to remember to put earrings in because I can keep these in all the time. I actually went to bed and forgot I had them in and they didn't dig into my head or anything so I'm very impressed.

The studs aren't too big or too small, just right. I think they look lovely and I'd definitely recommend checking out Timothy Roe!

Hed Kandi 'Pure Kandi' Headphones

Hello! I mentioned on Saturday that I had a different sort of review post for you all, so here we are, my review of Hed Kandi's brand new range of 'Pure Kandi' headphones.

The world’s most successful dance music and lifestyle brand, Hed Kandi, have created a stunning range of superior quality headphones, travel speakers and iPhone sleeves in their glamorous and on-trend colour palette with unique Jason Brooks’s artwork.

I received a pair of purple headphones, which incidently is one of my favourite colours, but while I'm not a fan of the type of music that Hed Kandi represents, these headphones are really quite stylish and pretty. They boast that their ultra thin adjustable headband won't mess up your hair when you take them off and I have to say, it is true!

The headphones are extremely comfortable thanks to the white cushioning and I can even wear them while keeping all of my earrings and piercings in. I usually use my iPod earphones which, after a while, will cause my piercings to feel a bit sore so it was lovely to wear these headphones without worrying.

Another problem with my iPod earphones is the fact that they tangle so easily. The new 'Pure Kandi' headphones come with a special tangle free wire, making it extremely easy to pick up and listen straight away instead of spending ages untangling the wires.

Now for the most important part...the sound quality! I hate it when I'm wearing earphones and I can still hear noise from everything going on around me. I also get really paranoid when I think people, especially in the office, can hear my music as it must be such an annoying noise. Now, with the 'Pure Kandi' headphones, I literally cannot hear anything else but my music. I'm in my own little music bubble and I don't have to worry about other people hearing my music either as the white cushioning keeps the music from escaping! I definitely prefer the sound quality of these headphones to the quality of earphones as it feels a lot louder and I get a lot more bass from them as well.

Overall these headphones are definitely worth investing in at only £29.99. They come in a range of colours, making them cheap and cheerful, but still good quality.

Excuse my miserable face!

Diechmann Grey Ribbon Lace Brogues

I was recently contacted asking if I wanted to review a pair of shoes Styleclone.com.

The shoes I received were the Grey Ribbon Lace Brogues which are selling for £12.99.

Personally, I've never worn Brogues and I've never been 100% sure of them either. I've admired them from afar but haven't felt comfortable enough to wear them myself, however, after trying this cute pair on, I've fallen in love with Brogues and can't wait to start wearing them for non review purposes!

The ribbon laces are a nice touch but I thought they might be a little impractical and will loosen through out the day, therefore, I think they would work better with normal thin Grey laces. The shoes come in a gorgeous rich Grey colour and are really soft to the touch and a black and white gingham pattern peeks out at me cheekily from the insides!

Most importantly, these shoes are comfortable and look great with my skinny jeans. (I was afraid they wouldn't.) They look exactly like the image used on the website which is a huge plus and I genuinely love these shoes, I have been converted!

Product Review: Polaroid Pogo Instant Printer

The Polaroid Pogo Instant Mobile Printer uses the latest ZINK, Zero Ink Technology which means no buying expensive ink cartridges every few weeks.

The ZINK paper that comes with the printer already has cyan, yellow and magenta crystals implanted in it, with a protective polymer cover over the top. When it comes to printing a picture, the printer activates the colour crystals and forms the image.

The Pogo printer is very simple to use, you simply connect your Pictbridge compatible digital camera with it's USB lead in order to print your pictures or you can send your pictures via mobile phone bluetooth. The product came with 10 pieces of zink paper, but it is not expensive to buy more.

The printer itself is about the same size as an iPhone but a little heavier. You simply remove the back of the printer to put the paper in and away you go. The printer is very portable and will probably fit nicely into your pocket or handbag so it is great for printing spur of the moment pics.

Printing time takes about 60 seconds in total which for a printer that doesn't use ink catridges, is pretty impressive.

The instruction booklet that comes with the printer should be pretty easy to follow but if something goes wrong with the printer, there are no explanations or help within the instruction manual so you will have to resort to looking online. I initially had trouble with connecting my digital camera and searched online for reasons why it could not be working, however, one clever boyfriend later and it's working perfectly. This was only a reflection on my stupidity and not the product itself.

In the UK, the Polaroid Pogo Instant Printer is reasonably cheap. I found this one on Amazon.co.uk for £20 and other websites are selling it for between £20-£30, which is very reasonable.

As you can see, the printer itself is pretty small which means small pictures, 2x3 to be exact. The pictures are the perfect size for fitting into your wallet or displaying around your rooms as the pictures also double up as stickers. If you want a printer that will print normal sized photographs, I wouldn't recommend this one.

The final images are of a good quality and the product itself is particularly good for the price you pay. I would certainly recommend it, it is a fun piece of gadgetry and especially good for printing mobile phone pictures.
