Sunday Style Steal #5

Ooh it feels so lovely to have a Sunday off work! Despite the rain, I've had a nice morning in town with Mum and Daisy. In words it all sounds rather boring, but we met up with my Nan and Grandad for Coffee, or in my case Tea, and cake. We also hit Boots and I managed to pick up a few nail polishes to review for the blog. I was hoping to pick up the new Maybelline 'Cat-Eyes' mascara but I wasn't about to pay £8 for it! Ridiculous! I also had a nosy at the new Kate Moss for Rimmel collection but was again appalled at the prices. Bad times.

I'm trying to spend the afternoon doing lots of blog writing and generall just catching up with things. I feel like I'm neglecting the blog a bit recently, and that shows in my Google Analytics as well, so my aim is to get more regular posts and stop being so lazy! I've got lots of posts currently drafted and finally have batteries for my camera so will be able to get lots of posts done!

In the mean time, it's time for this week's Sunday Style Steal, featuring the lovely Emma Stone. Has anyone noticed what great style this girl has? She's a bit of a fashion under-dog at the moment but any second now I can tell she's going to become one huge style icon.

So effortlessly stylish, wouldn't you say? She's a real natural beauty and she can pretty much wear anything. Her English rose skin tone and red hair look great against the lovely navy shade of her Lanvin maxi dress and I love how she's simply accessorised with a Lanvin clutch bag and a pair of earrings. She is wearing Salvatore Ferragamo heels, which are hidden below the dress, sadly.

She wore this to the German premiere of her new film and I much prefer this outfit to the Polka dot Luca Luca dress she wore to the UK premiere. I've managed to dig out some replicas of Emma's outfit, although it's not too British weather friendly!

Sunday Style Steal #5
Topshop: Split Maxi Dress by RARE, Spike and Cord Torque Necklace, Shooting Star Earrings
New Look: Leather Peep-Toe Platforms
ASOS: Sequin Clutch Bag

Ahh I love it all, particularly the accessories which would be great for a night out. And can you believe the shoes are from New Look? New Look do the best shoes on the highstreet by a mile! I had a quick browse through the gold clutches on the high-street but they're all rather tacky so the cute little purse bag was it's replacement!

I absolutely love the necklace and think it's a real statement! That alone would be more than enough to accessorize any outfit. Topshop is brilliant for jewellery, but it's a tad on the expensive side. If it's a special occasion though, it's definitely worth splashing out!

Right, I desperately need to tidy my bedroom and get some more writing done, so I shall leave you to ponder this week's steal! Enjoy!

  3. I agree with you, Emma always looks great! I love the colour of the dress you found and the necklace is an amazing statement piece. I'm also extremely jealous of her hair, I've wanted red for a long time now but I don't think it would suit me x

  10. Yay for a sunday off!

That necklace from topshop is really amazing! I hope they have it in my topshop (topshop in Sweden is not comparable with topshop in UK, they never have the great thing in stock!)

  12. Weirdly one of the reasons I love Emma Stone is that she makes mistakes too. She is so amazingly gorgeous though. And some great finds from you too :)

I love that this is a gorgeous red carpet outfit, but at the same time you could take elements of the outfit and make it work for everyday.
