Manicure Monday: Kiko Milano Candy Nails

Kiko Milano Candy Nails

Hello and happy Monday! Apologies for the lack of post last week, I couldn't get one taken in time and didn't have any bright ideas about what to feature. I did buy nail polishes last Saturday but felt like I wanted to give them a chance to be trialled properly for the week before featuring them. But anyway, here I am with a new Manicure Monday post, which are probably my favourite to do at the mo. I just love writing about nail polishes and photographing them too!

Last weekend I picked up two polishes from the limited edition Kiko Candy Nails range as I've been wanting to get my hands on them for absolutely ages. I picked up one of the Frozen Smoothie shades in Glossy Doughnut, which is just such a brilliant name for a nail polish, and a Sugar Sparkles top coat in Berry Delight. Stupidly I didn't realise the Berry Delight was a glitter top coat, I actually thought it was one of those polishes that are glittery but you can still wear on its own with no base. I don't mind too much as it does look great on top of the blue.

The Frozen Smoothies range consists of four very pretty pastel shades. I decided to go for the Glossy Doughnut one, which is a pastel blue shade with microparticles, designed to pick up the light. As you can see it's a pretty good base shade for the Berry Delight top coat but it also works really nicely on its own. It's fun and refreshing and probably my fave from the smoothie range. It reminds me of a Krispy Kreme doughnut!

The Sugar Sparkles range is another one full of gorgeous shades but this time containing microcrystals for a glittery finish, which it more than delivers on. It dries super fast and the glitter is smooth to the touch so you won't catch it on anything accidentally.

What I was most impressed about with these polishes was the drying time, it was SO quick. The packaging is also super cute, I love the bubble style bottles with the white caps. Once removed there's actually another lid which is much easier to hold and apply your nail polish with. The polish applies really nicely too, not to thick or thin and the brushes are just wide enough to be able to cover the nail in one swipe.

I'm seriously impressed with these polishes' staying power too. I've been wearing them for a week and there is very minimal chipping round the edges. They've survived the washing up test and the house cleaning test, which a lot of polishes aren't usually able to stand up to.

I've received several compliments on my nails too so they're definitely a winner for me and ones I'd definitely recommend you pick up if you can.

Have you tried the Kiko Candy Nails polishes yet? Let me know what you thought in the comments.
