Bleach London Swamp Spritz

Bleach London Swamp Spritz
Bleach London Swamp Spritz - £6

When I buy any kind of sea salt spray or any hair product that aims to create that perfect beachy look I get really carried away and have visions of myself with the perfect 'beach' 'do and I'm almost always disappointed. I should have learnt my lesson by now, sea spray usually just ends up leaving my hair salty and sticky and the Bleach London Swamp Spritz was unfortunately no different from the rest.

For £6 this is a bit pricey. You're pretty much paying for the Bleach London name and the fact it is in a bottle shaped liked something you'd use to clean your bathroom with just doesn't help reassure you when you're handing over six of your hard earned pounds. The bottle actually really puts me off, as does the name 'swamp spritz'. What kind of a name is that really - do you want hair that looks like you've just crawled out of a swamp?

I've used this several times now in the hope that it would get better but it just hasn't. It leaves my hair feeling sticky and straw like and it really just doesn't do anything. It's less like a spritz and more like a jet of salty water on application. I would really not recommend spending your hard-earned money on this. I'm not really sure why I did to be honest, I guess I got swept away by the hype again.

Have you tried this? What are your thoughts?

  1. there's only one salt spray I've ever used and liked and when that ran out I found I couldn't find it anymore, booo!

  2. I actually really do like the look of the bottle just because the sticker looks cool. The product itself sounds a bit pants though. xx

  3. I know what you mean with salt sprays, I only use them when I've curled my hair, if I use one on straight hair I just end up a mess. The bumble and bumble one's supposed to be good but I've never tried it

  4. It does look like a fun product but at first I thought it was some kind of bleaching or lightening hair spray because of the name :p

  5. I didn't know Bleach did a salt spray. I do like some of the ones I've tried but they're not all great, I will be giving this one a miss. I like the Bumble & Bumble one but I really want to try & make mine own

  6. I've always been a fan of Toni and Guy's Casual Sea Salt Spray :-) It's pretty good value for money too because they sell a smaller bottle and a bigger bottle and it lasts for ages! Totally agree with you on the Bleach London one though!

  8. It's a shame this didn't work for you. I have never found a salt spray to work on my thin hair yet so that's a shame. I think if I had this product, my Mum would probably use it as bathroom cleaner! That bottle just reminds me of bleach or cleaner, you're right!

  9. Not tried this one (glad I haven't if it's as bad as you say) but I've heard quite good things about a schwartzkopf version of a salt spray, apparently that's supposed to be really good. I think most salt sprays are overpriced, I wonder if it is just sea water? haha
