Cherry Pie : Dotty

1 May 2011

So it turns out the Benefit Concealer I showed you yesterday was definitely a fake! I compared it to the images on the official Benefit site and ASOS and the lettering is slightly different. I can't believe I was stupid enough to even order it in the first place. However I did request a refund and they refunded the money straight away which to me shows that they are basically admitting to it being fake. In future, if anyone thinks of ordering anything from users snowwhite1530 and zz101_2007, think again! The fact that they have hundreds and hundreds of positive feedback is a bit misleading and obviously shows that a lot of people don't realise they are buying fakes. I did leave negative feedback but I'm not sure it will make a difference to be honest.

Anyway, I'll definitely learn from this mistake and won't be ordering make-up from eBay again! In other news, as it's a bank holiday tomorrow Vince and I have decided to go to Brighton for the day! It only cost £24 for the both of us there and back which I think is pretty good?! We're going to head to the Pier of course and check out all of the lanes and shops and generally just have a wander! I'm quite looking forward to it actually and we'll be taking the camera so I'll have lots of snaps to post on Tuesday. If there's anywhere you can recommend please let me know!

I just hope it doesn't rain!

Today's 30 Day Blog Challenge is another simple one. You've already seen the last product I purchased as it was the Topshop Eyeshadow! However, today I received a text message telling me that the skirt I ordered from Zara had arrived in store and was ready to be picked up.

I initially ordered this skirt after reading Jen's 'Essential Summer Skirt' post. She recommended some skirts from Zara that were just £9.99 and with free delivery to a store as well, so I just had to snap one up. This is the second skirt I've purchased this year and I decided on the Black & White Polka Dot skirt! I ordered the Medium size skirt and was worried it wouldn't fit as the skirt I brought in H&M recently was a small, but luckily it fit, phew! I'll post a pic of me wearing it soon, but for now here it is in it's pretty packaging. It does have pockets on it but they're a bit difficult to see. I love it so much I might have to get it in another colour!

Quite a bargain don't you think?

  1. the skirt is really cute! hope you have a lovely time in brighton x

  2. Have a nice day tomorrow.

Love the skirt, and jealous as the Zara 9.99 skirt I wanted was out of stock in my size on the website and I don't live anywhere close to a Zara.

  3. I love Zara's summer stuff!

Sad to hear you got a fake :( I've found some fairly good discount websites recently so I've been sneaking about them trying to get myself some bargains!

  4. Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment :) Love the Zara skirt - that's so sweet and what a bargain too. Oh I live near Brighton and absolutely love it. I would recommend the North Laines and if your after some nice pics the Pavilion is very pretty. Hope you have a fun day :) x

  5. WOW I am in shock that that skirt is under a tenner! its soo adorable! I am currently fighting the urge to go and buy one!

  6. Oooh yay, glad you bought one of the Zara skirts! Aren't they just so lovely? Might have to invest in a few more... :)

  7. That skirt is lovely!! :) x

  8. Oh that sucks, but it's good that they refunded straight away! And love that skirt, it's so adorable!

New giveaway on my blog, come check it out! :)

  9. I love Brighton, haven't been in ages but hopefully I'll drive down again soon! The pier is ace.

Your skirt is lovely. I recently bought some fake mac make-up from ebay, so disappointing when that happens! Emily xx

  10. Love the skirt, can't help but love everything Zara to be honest, they have such great pieces. Also, wow on the fake Benefit concealer! I sometimes buy make up off ebay because I really love a couple of Japanese brands and it's definitely easy to fall prey to fake goods! That's really good that they let you have a refund!

  11. that skirt is gorgeous and such a bargain! have a fun time xx
