Internacionale: Green and Lace Peter Pan Collar Top
H&M: Leggings

I'm a bit useless as a blogger when it comes to new clothing. I take ages to actually photograph them, so long in fact that I forget how much they cost and they're no long available online for me to link to.

I wanted to show you all one of my sale bargains. I think I have three of these style peter pan collar tops from Internacionale, but I can't resist them! I'm pretty sure this was about £5 and unlike my blue and red versions, this one has a lovely intricate lace collar!

I wouldn't normally team it with leggings as it's a short top but these leggings definitely aren't see through in any way so I feel a bit more comfortable! I'm actually wearing my slippers in these pics but they're so comfy I often forget they're slippers and I've walked out of the door in them before, doh!

What sale bargains have you managed to pick up?

This week has been pretty quiet as usual. Vince and I had our friends round on Wednesday evening for a games night. We played Monopoly for about an hour before we started arguing and getting annoyed! Unfortunately I lost by a mile, but didn't mind too much.

We were originally going to go to the pub quiz but we weren't sure it was on. Sometimes just staying at home is more enjoyable and cheaper!

We were planning to go for lunch on Saturday afternoon but instead we went to see a man about a kitten and ended up bringing him home! He is so cute and we decided to name him Charlie! He's still settling in but he loves his new bed/house we bought him. He is so tiny and playful, but quite scared of loud noises, especially the TV.

I'm hoping to get some better pictures of him so I can officially introduce him to you all. I just want to stroke and play with him all day long, it's going to be horrible leaving him to go to work!

Re-using Yankee Candle jars

Yankee Candle
Yankee Candle - Clean Cotton

Yankee Candle
This is weird. I'm not a 'crafty' person, but when my yankee candle burnt out (boohoo!) I thought, 'ooh, what could I do with this empty glass jar?'

Yankee Candles are pretty expensive and I didn't think I should just chuck it away so I carefully scraped away the excess wax and gave it a good wash in hot water.

I decided it might make a nice makeup brush holder, but I'm sure there are many more uses for it. It would make a good money box for your spare coins, or even a pot for a small house plant!

Let me know what you've used your leftover candle jars for.
