Body Fantasies body spray

Earlier this year there was a real blogger buzz surrounding Body Fantasies Perfume Sprays, which were launching here for the first time ever! There were four different scents launching, Pink Grapefruit Fantasy, Pink Vanilla Kiss Fantasy, Japanese Cherry Blossom and Twilight Mist, all in pretty pink and purple packaging, which is very reminscent of the Victoria's Secret scents.

I wasn't able to get my hands on them before the official release date and I still wasn't able to even after the release date because we are so behind the times in this town. I recently popped to Bristol for a spot of shopping and luckily they are a bit more up-to-date and the Superdrug store there had these pretties in stock! As soon as I saw them I thought they looked very bright and cheerful sat on the shelf but with a slight pre-teen/teenager feel to them thanks to some of the imagery.

I felt like I was perhaps too old to be buying a 'body spray'. Just the words take me right back to being a teenager and dousing myself in Impulse on an hourly basis, but I didn't let it put me off and I bought two of the scents at £3.99 each. I went for Japanese Cherry Blossom because it was probably the most appealing sounding scent containing rose and amber notes, which are really feminine and light. I also picked up Pink Vanilla Kiss Fantasy as it had a super sweet scent of florals mixed with a hint of fruit.

At £3.99 each I wasn't expecting these to impress me hugely but I'm pleasantly surprised. They're a perfect handbag size so you can pop them in your bag and give yourself a little spritz when you're out and about. The scents are actually really nice and definitely my preferred fragrance to wear. The scent doesn't last all day but I wasn't expecting it to. At most it lasts for a couple of hours but the convenient size means you can take it with you and keep reapplying. It's ideal if you don't have any miniature perfumes and can't carry round a full size perfume bottle, as much as you would like to!

As I mentioned I feel like these are aimed at a much younger market than me but I found them perfect when I fancied a light spritz and a bit of an uplift during the day.

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Eau De Parfum

I'm a sucker for a floral perfume. Seriously, you should see my 'perfume' shelf in my bathroom. I'm a little ashamed actually but when the offer of adding another perfume to the collection arises, I can't turn it down, especially when it's a perfume I've wanted to try for absolutely ages!

The lovely folks at House of Fraser sent me a bottle of the popular Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Eau De Parfum, which I have been picking up pretty much every day since receiving it.

This is a perfume that's been around for years so I'm surprised I didn't already have it. Upon first spritz I was expecting it to be pretty girly and sweet but its top notes of tea and bergamot, middle notes of sambac jasmine, orchid, freesia and rose and base note of patchouli give it a richer, more opulent floral feel, with a hint of fizziness. It's a nice change to the rest of my collection.

The diamond-esque bottle means it makes a pretty display piece on your shelf or dressing table and with Christmas coming up this would make the ideal present for a friend or family member...or even yourself!

Ted Baker Body Spray

Ted Baker Body Sprays in Pink and Mint - £2.50 each

So recently I came across the Ted Baker beauty range in Boots. I previously featured the body soufflé and was impressed with not only the pretty geometric packaging but also the scent and the fact it leaves my skin feeling super soft after application!

Along with the body soufflé I also picked up two of the body sprays in pink and mint, which for £2.50 each, are huge bargains! Coming complete in gorgeous geometric bottles, these sprays smell amazing. The mint spray contains notes of powdery violet with peach and cherry accords entwined with a soft sweet base of vanilla, patchouli and amber, while the pink spray includes neroli and jasmine, with a base of patchouli, sandalwood and musk.

Both sprays smell really fresh and sweet and last a good couple of hours. They're also super cute and perfect handbag sizes, so easy for carrying around in place of a full size perfume bottle, which I've done in the past.

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Sweet Lime & Vanilla Musk Fragrance Mist

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Sweet Lime & Vanilla Musk Fragrance Mist - £10

If you remember when the Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash came out or if you use it regularly you'll know how absolutely amazing it smells. It reminds me of sweets I used to eat as a kid so I was super excited to try the new Sweet Lime & Vanilla Musk Fragrance Mist, which has been released alongside Fruitigo, Mist You Madly and Orangeasm versions.

I spent a good 10 minutes in Boots trying to decide which scent to go with. Anyone walking down the aisle probably couldn't breath as I'd sprayed them all in order to see what they smelt like. Finally I decided on the Sweet Lime & Vanilla Musk mainly because it was so similar to the body wash and because it was the most powerful smell and therefore I think one of the longer lasting ones.

While this is branded as a fragrance mist it still instructs you to spray on your wrists and use as a normal perfume so I guess you can say you're getting a very decent sized perfume for just £10. I apply this in the morning and spritz it all over myself. After a few hours you can still smell it faintly on your clothes and skin so this is a definite winner for me. That sweet lime, vanilla and ginger scent is just absolutely delicious and uplifting. Not for everyone but if you love fruity, fizzy scents then you'll love this.

Mother's Day treat: Thierry Mugler Angel Eau de Parfum

When these two products dropped through my letter box (ok they didn't really as they're too big but I like the saying!) I instantly knew that one person in particular would be very jealous…my mum! Angel by Thierry Mugler* is one of her favourite scents to wear. It's one that she re-purchases every time and while I would like to keep it for myself, I can't help feeling that I smell like her everytime I spray it on myself. Not that that's a bad thing!

I have actually decided to give this to my mum instead of keeping it myself due to it being one of her faves and it being Mother's Day soon. I do think perfumes make such a lovely present for mum's as they're usually someone you know extremely well so know what sort of scents she likes if she hasn't already told you.

The Angel scent is a lovely blend of bergamot, sweet red fruits, vanilla, caramel and patchouli. It's got base notes of vanilla, chocolate and caramel so there's a very sweet/chocolatey twist and is great when you get a bit of a whiff of it on yourself a little later in the day after spritzing.

Usually when you get a fragrance set it comes with some kind of body lotion, that I never usually bother using but the Angel body lotion is an absolutely huge size and although it's a lotion, it still holds the trademark Angel scent really well, leaving you smelling great for absolutely hours.

I'd definitely recommend treating mum to the new Angel scent, you can't really go wrong with perfume. I expect my mum will be very happy to receive this one!

Versace Eros Pour Femme Eau de Parfum Giveaway

When it comes to fragrances I think the new Versace Eros Pour Femme Eau de Parfum has got to be one of the most luxurious I've ever seen. Not only does it come packaged in a bolshy, gold bottle, but it evokes feelings of power as well as femininity. The scent itself has hints of spice blended with notes of jasmine, lemon and woods.

It's not my usual scent but this is going to take pride of place in my fragrance collection and is one of those fragrances I will turn to when I'm a bit bored of my usual floral/fruity perfumes and want something a bit stronger to make me feel ready for the day.

It was only last week that I posted about my fragrance collection and already I have a new fragrance to add to it.

I was very kindly sent the new Yves Rocher Quelques Notes d'Amour Eau de Parfum to try out in the run up to Valentine's Day. The fragrance itself has been created to represent the emotions and desires that come along with being in love…I'm not entirely sure if scents of Rose Damascena absolute and Guaiac Wood essence combined with the sensuality of Benzoin really equal the feeling of being in love for everybody as fragrances often mean lots of different things to different people and evoke certain memories, but for some, the scents combined might just culminate in that feeling of being in love.

For me its a nice mix of spice/wood and floral scents that are pretty strong and bold and linger for a good couple of hours. I'm not usually keen on very strong scents but I think the floral hints make it much more wearable and less over powering. I was pretty impressed with the fragrance's staying power and the bottle itself is super cute and girly and you know I'm a sucker for a perfume bottle!

The fragrance is the perfect Valentine's Day gift so you can either leave this blog post laying around for your other half to see or you could treat yourself to it!

My Fragrance Collection

Since photographing these pictures I've actually bought a new perfume but I was too lazy to re-take thev pics. Anyway, today I thought I'd talk about my fragrance collection as it is getting rather big. I'm clearly not one of those people who stick with one fragrance every day and wait until it's run out until I buy a new one. Oh no.

I like to use a different fragrance every day otherwise I find that I get too used to it and can't really smell it anymore. I know fragrance is really meant for other people to smell on you but it's always nice to get a whiff every now and then!

My current favourite, and one that isn't pictured as it's new is the new DKNY MY NY fragrance, which I picked up in the January sales. It came in a box set with a body moisturiser and little purse for £25, a bit of a bargain I say!

Marc Jacobs is a brand of fragrance that I absolutely love, as you can probably tell. I recently got the Pink Honey edition for my birthday back in October and I absolutely love it, the bottle especially. I'm a sucker for a perfume bottle, which is why I really want the Daisy Dream one!

Most of these perfumes have been given to me for birthdays, Christmas' or from brands for consideration for the blog. One brand of perfume I really enjoy is the French brand, Yves Rocher. I was sent its Flowerparty By Night fragrance, which I featured here. The L'Eau Moment de Bonheur and the So Elixir Purple are two more favourites of mine from the brand too.

Sometimes fragrances really surprise me and brands I thought I probably wouldn't like or scents that I'm not keen on at first, really start to grow on me and they become firm favourites, such as the Estee Lauder Sensuous Nude, which contains a lot of notes of wood and musk, when I'm usually a more fruity or floral scent wearer.

When it comes to fragrances I think you need to really give them a chance. It's always a good idea to spray it on yourself in the shop or wherever you are and then carry on with your shopping. You can then let the fragrance sink in and really let yourself get used to it, if it still smells great after an hour or so then you've got a winner! As much as I do it, you shouldn't judge a perfume on its bottle, sometimes the best looking bottles don't smell too good!

I couldn't tell you what my favourite perfume is, it changes pretty much every day! The Marc Jacobs Daisy is a really special one though as it's one of the first really nice, expensive perfumes I got and this is pretty much where my love of perfume started.

Yves Rocher Flowerparty By Night Eau de parfum

I think my new motto in life is that you can never have too many perfumes. I was recently sent the Yves Rocher Flowerparty By Night Eau de parfum and I'm so in love with it!

The bottle does remind me slightly of the Marc Jacob's Daisy perfumes just because of the flower lid but this is definitely where the similarities end. Flowerparty By Night is the 'spicy' nighttime version of Yves Rocher's original, with accents of licorice.

It's a relatively fruity scent with sweet top notes. Its base ingedients include bitter almond essential oil, star anise and bourbon vanilla absolute extracts as well as the hint of licorice. All these combined make for a really gorgeous scent that lingers for hours and hours.

I usually spritz my perfumes all over in the morning but I popped this one on my wrists as well. I could smell it all day long while I was at work and would get constant whiffs of it every time I propped my head up with my hand. It just lasts forever. I love the bitter and floral mix, which I'm quite surprised at as I wouldn't think this would be for me.

This is currently 50% off at £19, which is a HUGE bargain. This is the second Yves Rocher fragrance I've been sent and the second one I have absolutely loved. It's going to become a staple of my collection and I'll definitely be usuing it on a regular basis.

Marc Jacobs Limited Edition Pink Honey

So, on Monday it was my birthday and after dropping lots and lots of hints and also telling him exactly which one I wanted, Vince presented me with the Marc Jacobs Limited Edition Pink Honey perfume. Hooray!

I have wanted this for absolutely ages. I know it's Limited Edition but it's been out for quite a while. I've wanted all of the MJ perfumes to be honest and I have the original Daisy but when I gave this one a sniff, I knew it had to be mine. I've been pining over it every time I go into Boots as I think it smells amazing.

The scent is very similar to the original, yellow Honey and what makes it Limited Edition is the pink bottle but while both perfumes have top notes of Pear and Mandarin, the pink edition also has a top note of fruity punch, which gives it a bit of a kick. The scent also contains orange blossom, peach nectar and honeysuckle as well as base notes of honey, golden vanilla and smooth woods. All of the different scents combined give it a sweet yet almost sour fragrance. It's almost fizzy if that's possible and once it's sunk into the skin it smells so good and lingers for hours.

I am an absolute sucker for perfume bottles too. I will love a perfume before I've even smelt it, take the new Daisy Dream for example. The bottle is so cute but the fragrance itself isn't that impressive. I still kind of want it though.

The bottle is just cute and girly, everything you could want in a perfume. It's a very fruity/summery scent but I don't even care that it's autumn now. For £49.50 for 50ml, this is rather expensive so it's a lovely gift to receive. I just need to try and make it last so I have to stop myself from using it every day!

Yves Rocher So Elixir Purple

My perfume collection is getting a little on the large side but I couldn't turn down the offer of receiving yet another one! One thing my perfume collection lacks is a bit of colour. All of the bottles I have are quite plain so I went for this one on the purple colour and the name alone.

I've never heard of Yves Rocher before but I'm so, so glad I went for this fragrance as it's absolutely delicious. It's quite a strong smell at first but once it settles down you get wafts of essential oils, tuberose and patchouli, which actually remind me of a more expensive perfume I've worn in the past but I can't for the life of me remember which one it is.

I'm quite a floral/fruity perfume kind of person but this one is a lot richer than what I'm used to. As I said, it's quite strong when you first spray it but once it calms down I really love the richness of the floral/woody elixir scent coming through.

You shouldn't judge a book by its cover so you probably shouldn't judge a perfume by its bottle either but when you're choosing from a website it's pretty hard not to. The stumpy purple curved bottle completely won me over, it's pretty simple and elegant looking but the colours just give it a bit of a wow-factor. I wouldn't even mind if I didn't like the perfume inside because the bottle is just so pretty anyway, luckily I love the perfume inside and I think for £34.30 it's really reasonable. I would definitely recommend checking out the website and having a browse of the fragrances, I never thought of picking up perfume from anywhere other than Boots/The Perfume Shop but this was absolutely no hassle and it came perfectly packaged and all still in tact. Great!

TOWIE: Love Addict

TOWIE Love Addict Fragrance 100ml - £17.99*

I for one didn't ever imagine I would be featuring a TOWIE product on my blog. I will admit to watching the series, but it's one of those ones that are so cheesy and trashy, yet you can't not watch it. It's a guilty pleasure and I know for a fact that lots of other bloggers watch it too!

I was recently invited to the TOWIE fragrance launch but as usual, because it was in London, I couldn't make it and so politely declined the invitation. To my surprise I was sent the fragrance through the post and found it very nice that even though I declined the invite, I wasn't just forgotten about and cast aside by the PR company.

I think if this fragrance was under a different, popular brand name, then people would be much more willing to accept it. The fact that is says TOWIE in huge capital letters means most people instantly dismiss it but I tried to give it a bit of a chance.






I do like the purple colours and the bottle really isn't too badly designed. I quite like the pretty ribbon and the diamond shaped indents, but the smell isn't completely me.

I thought this sort of fragrance might be a bit sickly sweet and floral, which is what I usually quite like, but I found it a bit too strong for me.

It's quite a woody fragrance but it does have notes of lemon anise and raisin and there is definitely a hint of floral in there, which you can smell after the fragrance settles a little. Although it's quite strong I think I could definitely get used to it.

It's probably going to be one of those fragrances that I would keep and use every now and then when I fancy something a bit different. The TOWIE label doesn't bother me, at the end of the day it's another fragrance to add to my collection and the box will just go in the bin anyway!

Accessorize 'Passion' Eau de Toilette

Another Accessorize product on the blog this week. This was another gifted item from the very generous people at Accessorize.

You may remember a week or so ago I featured the 'Enchanted' fragrance and I really loved it. I've been using it pretty much everyday and I've found that it really sticks around through out the day, so I was excited to also try out 'Passion'.

The scent is rather different. It features exotic fruits and flowers blended with creamy woods and musks and while it is lovely, it's not a patch on the 'Enchanted' fragrance.

I really like the box and the bottle design. The scent is a bit stronger than what I usually wear but I could definitely get used to it. Luckily, it's not too musky or I wouldn't be able to stand it, they seem to have got the balance just right.

It does make a nice change from the usual floral and fruity scents that I usually wear. I will definitely be using it regularly and for £9.99 it's extremely reasonable for a perfume!

This has made a nice addition to my perfume collection which is forever growing! This fragrance definitely sticks around for a good few hours as well and that's what really makes a good perfume. I don't really want something that's going to fade after a while!
