Weekly Wishlist!

Ladies and Gentlemen (not quite sure there's many)...please welcome back the Weekly Wishlist feature! It's been a while hasn't it? For a while I stopped adding things to my wishlist because I just have no money, but I wanted to bring back this feature because I really enjoy writing it and scouting out items.

1. I know I'm not a dress kind of girl but this is utterly gorgeous! It would be perfect for a special occasion...if I had any coming up, which I don't. Boo.

2. I am really loving these studded slippers. I don't like the fact that they're called slippers though, as they are actually loafer style shoes. Unfortunately they're sold out at the moment!

3 & 4. Need some new earrings in my life. These are listed as tunnels but look thin enough for my eyes. Might have to check them out in real life though.

5. Cute, cute, cute!

6. A bit school uniform meets referee but I love the contrasting collar. This comes in a load of different shapes and patterns but this is really simple and perfect for casual and office work.

7. A gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous maxi skirt that will probably never be mine! I'm way too short for maxi skirts but a girl can dream, can't she?

8. The other day I got a real craving for Converse style trainers and spotted these on the website. I think they're lovely, perfect for winter with some black skinny jeans, which I practically live in!

Now let's see if I can keep this up on a weekly basis again! In other news, yesterday morning I had a lovely little trip to town with my sister and niece Daisy. This was my sister's first outing alone with Daisy so hopefully I helped as well as I could and she didn't feel too nervous. Daisy was so well behaved! She slept right through us mooching around the shops and the noise from the cafe didn't bother her at all! She only started crying when she was hungry and had tummy pains and by that time we were on our way back to the car anyway. It was a lovely little morning out with tea and a cupcake as well! Delish!

Tomorrow my work experience at Your Hair magazine starts for one week. This will be my fourth placement at a magazine and I'm hoping to get a lot out of it. My previous placements haven't been too successful if I'm honest but now I know how everything runs, I'm quite used to it and think I can make the most of it. This time around it's in Bristol instead of London which means only a 15 minute train journey! The only downside is that the office is right in the middle of the town centre, where all the shops are! I will have to be on my best behaviour! Wish me luck!

Topshop Make-up wishlist

I do love doing wishlist posts but I thought I'd do something a little different this time around and focus on all the lovely Topshop make-up that I want. I actually went into Topshop today and picked up their Duo Eyeshadow in Thunder for just £3 in the sale! Bargain!

However, there's still a few bits that I'm lusting after, one in particular is their new Blush in Head over Heels. I saw it in store and while it is lovely, it is rather bright so I'm still in the process of deciding whether or not to buy.

I'm going blush crazy lately and have already brought three in the space of a month or so. I love the look of the loose blushes but they also look a bit messy! I nearly spilt one over the white top I brought today, eek!

The solid cheek stick is another interesting product that I'd like to try out, I think it could look nice and highlight well. As for the eyeshadow crayon and liquid liner, they aren't products that I need, but it's always nice to have new products and the crayon looks really simple to apply.

I cannot wait until Topshop bring out a new collection, I've heard rumours of one in the Autumn/Winter so I'm definitely looking forward to that. I've never been so interested in make-up before but their products are so lovely that I want to try them all.

I'm not quite sure how I will cope when I move back home where the local Topshop doesn't sell any of the make-up! Uh oh.

Weekly Wishlist featuring David & Goliath

Hand's up if you're a fan of David & Goliath products and you regularly have a little giggle to yourself when you see their cute and quirky pieces in shops. *Hands up*

I have personally been a fan of this brand for a number of years, mainly when I was a teenager I admit, but I can still appreciate their great products and I still have a t-shirt in my wardrobe that I wear regularly. Saying that, I also have two pairs of their coolest, glow in the dark pyjamas!

I personally believe that a lot of their clothes are seen as a bit alternative and I regularly see their products on the rails of 'alternative' shops such as Blue Banana which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I'd love to see them in more well-known stores. They occasionally appear on the rails in Topshop and I love that such a prestigious high-street store stocks such a funky brand, but a lot more shops need to stock these guys as well!

So, saying that, this weeks Weekly Wishlist features a whole host of goodies from David & Goliath

£20 for one of the T-shirts isn't too bad. I would, and have, paid this much for one of their T-shirts but I think £39.99 for the pyjamas is a little too steep for me personally. However, if someone wanted to buy me the 'You Snooze You Loose' Pyjama Set, then I would happily accept it!

I had no idea that the company also did plain clothing such as these bright coloured shorts. Seeing as block colours are so 'in' at the moment, these are great!

Weekly Wishlist!

I haven't done one of these in months! I guess since getting a job, I've just been able to buy what I wanted instead of wishing I had it, but now that I've told myself to start saving instead of spending, my wishlist is bound to grow again.

Just through browsing clothing sites this morning, I've come across loads of stuff I want to add to my list. I'm currently at home for the weekend and I'm already bored stiff. I spent yesterday sorting out my bedroom, throwing lots of stuff away and generally just tidying everything into place so it's not too cluttered. I still have two suitcases to empty and tidy away but I just really can't be bothered at the moment. I also need to clear out underneath my bed ready for when I move back properly. A lot of my stuff is going to have to live under my bed as there is just no space in my bedroom for anything else. It's quite depressing having such a small room actually. It feels really cramped and I can't relax in it at all. The wardrobe is bursting already so I can't wait until my sister moves out and I can finally have my old bedroom back again!

Anyway, enough of my moaning, time for this week's Weekly Wishlist!

Cute top and shorts from Topshop. I'm still very much loving Peter Pan collars and with the added ties, they are extra cute. This one is very basic and I have a similar one in a tan colour from New Look, but you can never have too many! The shorts are a similar fit to my favourite Matalan ones. Once I find something that is a perfect fit and that I feel comfortable in, I tend to buy it over and over again in different colours and patterns, that's OK isn't it?

I spotted the Matalan Birdie Playsuit at the S/S 11 Press Day and although it doesn't look too flattering in the image, in real life, it's very pretty! I am waiting for it to pop up in my local store so I can try it on and hopefully purchase! The red New Look shorts keep popping up every time I go in store. They catch my eye every time so I think it's a sign that I need to try them on! Lastly, the two Miss Selfridge bikinis are particularly pretty, don't you think? When I move back home permanently, I am going to take up swimming again (not that I can do it very well) and I am in need of new bikinis as my current ones no longer fit! I particularly love the patterns on these but am not so crazy about the prices! I think I'll have to decide on one and buy the other another day, which one do you all prefer?

I guess I should get on with sorting out my bedroom now. Hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend and bank holiday tomorrow!

Sneaky shopping trip

I've been very naughty today...I accidentally on purpose paid a little visit to New Look today and purchased two tops from my Weekly Wishlist!

After looking around town yesterday, I tried on the Peter Pan Tie Shirt but decided against buying it, then today, after my trial at Hotel Chocolat I decided to go in and try it on again, knowing I would end up buying it.

While browsing around I spotted the Spotty Peter Pan Tee and as that's on my Wishlist aswell, decided to take it into the changing rooms with me. Luckily both tops looked really nice and with 20% student discount (thank God for Student cards that don't expire until July!) I had to get them both as a little treat and also as something to wear during my Work Experience at Red magazine next month.

As I mentioned, I had a trial at Hotel Chocolat this morning. I think it went well. I had to greet customers as they came into the store and then offer them a sample of a Strawberry love heart. I was very polite, asking the customers if they needed any help etc..etc but when offering samples I was not telling them they were Strawberry love hearts until they had already picked them up and started eating...the manager told me I should be telling them straight away that they were Strawberry which I started doing. My aim was to try and sell some of the chocolates but unfortunately nobody brought any. :( My trial only lasted half an hour as it was a really quite morning and I was told I'd hear back in about a week. I feel kind of confident and unconfident at the same time, I'm kicking myself for my stupid mistake!

Now I'm looking forward to doing nothing all weekend. I was originally supposed to be going to London with Vince to see My Chemical Romance at Wembley Arena but I decided to sell my tickets on Twitter to a fellow fan. I really need some money at the moment so it didn't seem right that I was spending £60 on a hotel for a night plus tube fares and meals as well as already having paid nearly £60 for the tickets themselves. Luckily someone brought the tickets pretty quickly and the Hotel was free to cancel, so now the money is going towards my work experience travelling next month. They are my favourite band ever but I've seen them 4 times before and I'm sure I'll see them again, it's a shame but I thought I'd be sensible for once!

Weekly Wishlist!

It's that time again! I've browsed through my wishlist and have picked four pieces which I'll definitely be purchasing when I have the funds. I'm trying to stick to pieces that I know in reality, I will definitely wear, instead of posting things I just wish I could pull off!

The first item I've found is the ASOS Basic Dip Back Top, £15. I decided to go for the Grey version of the top just to stay away from my usual Black. I am loving the dip hem trend at the moment and this perfectly basic top is great to wear with leggings, keeping your behind covered as no one wants to see what colour knickers your wearing!

The second item is the really cute Peter Pan Tie Shirt, £14.99 from New Look. I love this!! Peter Pan collar, check. Any colour that isn't Black, check. Tie neck detail, check. It looks great for wearing casually but also as something to team with smart trousers for things like interviews.

Next up is the Topshop Camed Tipped Cardigan, £36. I can't keep away from Camel colours at the moment and I love the black trimming, but at £36 this may stay on my wishlist for a while yet...

Last but not least are the Petite High Waist Betsy Jeans, £40 from Topshop. I always find that Topshop jeans are the only ones that fit perfectly. I live in skinny jeans, even in the summer, and I definitely need a few more pairs. I think a pair of high waist-ers are a simple change from the norm and look good with pretty much anything!

Here's hoping I get a job soon so I can start ticking things off my list!

Weekly Wishlist!

It's about time I had a go at a weekly post on my blog, so what better subject to base it on than my fashion and clothing lustings. Seeing as I have zero money at the moment and I have to literally force myself to stay out of Topshop, I can live vicariously through the Internet, planning out my new wardrobe for when I finally have the money to spend!

Just three items to start off with as I don't want to go overboard!

I spied the Topshop Navy Chinos, £36 on I Heart Vintage x and knew instantly that I had to get a pair for myself. I wear skinny jeans so much that I think I'm scared of wearing anything else, I badly need a pair of trousers that aren't made of denim.

I spotted (ha!) the New Look Spotty Peter Pan Tee, £14.99, when I was browsing Online and then spied it again when I went into the store today. I think it's very me, I just need some pennies to make it mine!

I'm loving oversized tops at the moment so I headed straight for the New Look Oversized Batwing Top, £14.99 in 'Rusty.' They are so perfect for wearing casually in the day time, in fact I'm wearing a similar one from Topshop right now!

So there's my first Weekly Wishlist...let's see if I can keep it up!
