Before we start today's post, how about a little nail art? I've been meaning to post this for absolutely ages but I lost the Missguided MissTique nail polish after getting it free in a magazine. I finally discovered that it had rolled underneath my bed, silly.
Anyway, quite simple nails but I absolutely love the colour of it and I thought I'd use some cheeky Models Own Blooboo as well on the ring finger. :)
This past weekend hasn't been too eventful. Quite relaxing really. On Saturday night Vince and I visited our friends for a chilled out evening of chatting and watching TV/The Ugly Truth.
Sunday evening was spent at home 'looking after' Daisy. She fell asleep on me for absolutely ages, it's so funny just watching her and seeing all of the funny faces she pulls.
I also sat up and watched Muse play Reading festival...and wow. It was awesome! It reignited my love for Muse and now I'm downloading all of the songs that I love. In particular their performance of Stockholm Syndrome was amazing.
On Friday evening Vince and I also sat up and watched My Chemical Romance live at Reading and again, wowsers. My favourite band in the entire world only went and pulled out all the stops by getting Brian May up on stage with them. It really was a mouth hanging open type of moment.
Just watching it on TV was amazing so I can't imagine how mind blowing it was to actually witness it in real life. This is the type of thing that makes me kick myself every year for never going to festivals. One year I just need to bite the bullet and go!
Today has been spent walking miles through the high-street with mum and Daisy and doubling back on ourselves to go and get a drink from the local Costa Coffee. I do love their new flavoured iced teas, yum! We also had a quick visit to my Nans and now I'm absolutely knackered!
I was planning on sorting out my bedroom and seeing if there's anything I can sell. My room is starting to get messy and bug me so it needs a good sort! Keep your eyes peeled for a possible blog sale!

Weekly Wishlist!
Ladies and Gentlemen (not quite sure there's many)...please welcome back the Weekly Wishlist feature! It's been a while hasn't it? For a while I stopped adding things to my wishlist because I just have no money, but I wanted to bring back this feature because I really enjoy writing it and scouting out items.
1. I know I'm not a dress kind of girl but this is utterly gorgeous! It would be perfect for a special occasion...if I had any coming up, which I don't. Boo.
2. I am really loving these studded slippers. I don't like the fact that they're called slippers though, as they are actually loafer style shoes. Unfortunately they're sold out at the moment!
3 & 4. Need some new earrings in my life. These are listed as tunnels but look thin enough for my eyes. Might have to check them out in real life though.
5. Cute, cute, cute!
6. A bit school uniform meets referee but I love the contrasting collar. This comes in a load of different shapes and patterns but this is really simple and perfect for casual and office work.
7. A gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous maxi skirt that will probably never be mine! I'm way too short for maxi skirts but a girl can dream, can't she?
8. The other day I got a real craving for Converse style trainers and spotted these on the website. I think they're lovely, perfect for winter with some black skinny jeans, which I practically live in!
Now let's see if I can keep this up on a weekly basis again! In other news, yesterday morning I had a lovely little trip to town with my sister and niece Daisy. This was my sister's first outing alone with Daisy so hopefully I helped as well as I could and she didn't feel too nervous. Daisy was so well behaved! She slept right through us mooching around the shops and the noise from the cafe didn't bother her at all! She only started crying when she was hungry and had tummy pains and by that time we were on our way back to the car anyway. It was a lovely little morning out with tea and a cupcake as well! Delish!
Tomorrow my work experience at Your Hair magazine starts for one week. This will be my fourth placement at a magazine and I'm hoping to get a lot out of it. My previous placements haven't been too successful if I'm honest but now I know how everything runs, I'm quite used to it and think I can make the most of it. This time around it's in Bristol instead of London which means only a 15 minute train journey! The only downside is that the office is right in the middle of the town centre, where all the shops are! I will have to be on my best behaviour! Wish me luck!

Welcome to the world!
Yesterday (4th) I was all set to get comfortable on the sofa and write a new blog post...until my mum came home and told me that my sister had given birth to my niece! She popped her out in 45 minutes flat, weighing a teeny-tiny 5lbs 15 ounces and she's the cutest thing possible! Oh, and her name is Daisy!
I'm sure there will be some better photographs (her dad is a photographer) to come but this one was taken at just a few hours old! She has lots of dark hair and blue eyes, very pretty!
We've all pretty much been waiting and waiting for her to arrive and she wasn't actually due until the 10th July so we were very happy that she was early!
So, before all of the excitement, I wasn't really getting up to much. On Sunday Vince and I went for a little picnic at Chew Valley lake which was really nice. I've also been slowly taking on the dreaded job search for Journalism related and general jobs, but it's not going so well...I got rejected from a supermarket which was a bit depressing! Luckily I will be getting some holiday pay from my old job which should keep me going for a little while but I really need to not go crazy and spend it all! There's really not many jobs going in the town. It's such a small town and everywhere is full! I might have to branch out and search in Bristol but that would be an aweful lot of money every day on petrol/train fare. I think today I will continue my search, wish me luck!
