The Lacquer Lab Trio: Marrakech Collection

The Lacquer Lab Trio Marrakech Collection

Finally I am using a brand of nail polish that isn't Barry M. I feel like I've been sticking with the same brands for a while and need to change things up a bit and give some other names a go. I saw a tweet from The Lacquer Lab asking if anyone would like to try the new range and of course I quickly piped up!

I received a few polishes from the new Marrakech Collection, which takes inspiration from Morrocco, so at least my finger nails can feel like they're having a bit of holiday sunshine even if I'm not! I received Snake Charmer, which is a prime blue colour inspired by the vibrant coloured doors that guard the main palatial Riads of Marrakech. It's a gorgeous shade and the perfect summer bright.

Karma Sutra is the gorgeous vibrant fuchsia shade, which is inspired by Morocco's famous 'Valley of the Roses'. Yet another lovely bright for summer with a hint of pink.

The third polish, and possibly my favourite, is Fountain of Youth, which is a lovely aqua shade that can be built up or used as a top coat like I have done so above. It contains mini gold glitter particles, which dazzle in the light.

This is a fab little set and would make a lovely little pressie for someone. The polishes themselves are really creamy and like velvet to apply. What's even better is that they dry really quickly and you don't need to apply lots of coats either. They last an absolute age, passing every nail polish test I put them through such as the washing up test and the cleaning the bathroom test.

Each polish is £7, which is a tad more expensive than the usual polishes you get on the highstreet, but you get much more product for your money. The entire collection, which actually contains five colours in total, retails for £29, which is on par with other nail brand's sets.

I would definitely recommend trying these out. They're a joy to apply and the collection really captures the spirit of Morocco.
