I was obviously waiting for a glimpse of the dress, as were thousands of other fashion lovers. Last night people were going crazy on Twitter as Alexander McQueen Head Designer Sarah Burton was spotted going into Kate's hotel. Rumours started flying that the dress was going to be Vintage McQueen but I'm glad it was a new design as it's designed specifically for the bride, to suit her. The hand-embroidered and appliquéd lace dress looked amazing and imitated the one worn by Grace Kelly. I particularly loved the veil and the lace top and sleeves.
I couldn't believe the amount of people lining the streets of London just for a quick glimpse of the couple. The atmosphere must have been amazing! Were any of you there? I loved when they drove out of Buckingham Palace in the Aston Martin with the personalised Licence plate and L plate on the front, haha!
Vince and I headed into town this afternoon but most of the festivities had fizzled out already except the one going on on the road next to ours. It's rather loud!
Today's blog challenge was a pretty simple one and I'm glad we stocked the fridge today! Tomorrow we're planning to have salad and quiche for dinner so we stocked up in preperation.

OOOH takeaway. Not that I should be lusting it, having had Indian on Weds night, but still! Friday night is always a cheeseboard, celery (and sometimes other bits of fresh) and fresh bread. It's a ritual as my mum may have a cheese addiction.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice evening, hope you enjoyed the day.
Haha I watched it from my bed too!
ReplyDeleteHer dress was so beautiful, the lace sleeves were gorgeous. I would love a dress like that for my wedding!
Kate looked amazing, can you imagine how many brides will want a dress in this style now? haha
ReplyDeleteHer evening dress was amazing too... ooh I love weddings! :-D
