The Body Shop's The Sparkler and Shimmer Waves Palette

The Body Shop's The Sparkler and Shimmer Waves

The Body Shop The Sparkler

The Body Shop Shimmer Waves

Today's blog post features two gorgeously shimmering products, perfect for your Valentine's Day look. Aren't they so pretty?

The shimmer waves palette in 02 is the perfect palette for creating a subtle shimmer on the cheeks. For £16 you get five different ombre shades of pink including a lovely coral, a dark and a light pink, peach and a lovely shimmering cream. Blended together the shades look fab and on top of some light foundation and with some simple eye make-up, this is perfect for a day-time look or even a subtle night-time one.

The Sparkler has got to be the most girly, fun product you could ever try. It's basically a shimmer dust that comes in this gorgeous old-style perfume bottle with a handy little stopper. It's a great sized product and it's just great for creating the ultimate glamorous look for a special occasion. Another one that's perfect for Valentine's Day.

I do have to warn you that the product is quite messy so don't go spraying it around too generously. I would suggest spraying the dust onto a body brush or a blusher brush so you can then apply it wherever you want. It would look great on the body, perhaps the shoulder bones if you're going for something ultra glamorous or it's perfect as a light shimmer on top of your blusher. I think you really only need a little bit of the product for each application so this is going to last absolutely ages.

These are both such great, gorgeous products for adding a bit of sparkle to your look. They'd also make great gifts with Valentine's Day coming up. There's a great gifts range from The Body Shop to check out. There's still time before the big day!

Catch up number five! How are you all on this rainy Sunday evening?

This week has been much of the same, work, home, bed… so not much to report on really. Yesterday I went to my local town with my mum and dad. I was hoping to get some shopping done but I only really went into Boots and Internacionale. My mum had to get her eyes tested and then we met my sister and my niece for a cup of tea so by the time that was all done we were ready to go home really.

My mum bought my niece, Daisy, a mermaid barbie which she was thrilled with! The tail moved and everything. I'm sure we didn't have that when I was a kid. I picked up a few bits in The Body Shop and Boots, which you'll see in a drugstore haul post this week.

Today has been pretty relaxed. Vince and I did a food shop this morning and now Vince is at work until 10 so I have the evening until myself. I had a nice bath with my melting snowman bath bomb from Lush and cooked myself a lovely sweet and sour chicken! I was going to pop into town again this afternoon but I couldn't really be bothered in the end. I still have New Look and Internacionale vouchers to spend but I'm going to save them until next week I think. I'm after some acid wash jeans and some more bits for spring!

How has your week been?

I think this is probably going to become quite a regular series on the blog. This past weekend I went to Bristol for a big shopping trip and I also popped to my local Boots on Sunday to pick up some of the things I forgot to get in Bristol.

First one my list was Soap & Glory's Bright Here Bright Now. I pretty much bought this based on the name alone. I actually used it for the first time on Sunday morning as I felt like going make-up free for the day and I absolutely loved it. It was £8, which isn't too expensive I suppose, but I'm so glad I got it because I already really love it. I've got a dedicated post coming up very soon!

I certainly don't need any more mascaras but I couldn't help picking up Maybelline's new Big Eyes mascara. I was intrigued by the bottom lash brush and can't wait to try it out. I also picked up a cute little make-up bag to store some of my new bits and pieces in!

I didn't want to buy the Garnier Micellar Water, but I couldn't help it. I didn't realise how big it was, much bigger than the Bioderma so I'm looking forward to giving it a whirl and comparing it to my beloved Bioderma. It's pretty much half of the price too!

I picked up the Garnier Beauty Oil and Pantene BB Creme on a bit of a whim. I spotted the oil on the shelves and it kind of kept calling out to me. I've yet to try it but I imagine it will be another lovely little product that will take up space on my bathroom shelves. I'm hoping it's not too oily on the skin as I don't want to be greasy but I guess we'll wait and see. Last but not least I picked up the Pantene BB Creme as I saw it on an advert and thought it looked pretty interesting. Everyone's bought into BB cream for your skin so why not for your hair?

What's in your shopping basket this week?
