Sunday Summary #23

Well good evening! It's been a little while since I wrote one of these summary posts. I have quite missed them!

Since last week's post I've not been up to too much. Most week days consist of work and coming home and sitting infront of the TV or laptop. The weekends do get a little more exciting though, I must say. Yesterday I had a bit of a lie-in until 10 and a lounge around the house before going to get a new tyre put on my car and buy a few new bits for the house.

The best thing about moving house is 'having' to buy all those little bits and pieces that you need. I got some nice new cushions, bath mats and just bits and bobs. I also managed to have a good old browse of Boots and Superdrug as well as pick up a couple of new tops for myself. I'm feeling much more flush than usual as our rent for August was paid prior to us moving in so I have been all spend, spend, spend, when I should probably be paying off my overdraft. I promise I will!

Unless you read in my last post, you might not know that I've taken up aerobics! I decided to start going in place of my spin class as spin wasn't really interesting my anymore. I signed up for what is supposed to be 'low' impact aerobics but it definitely isn't low impact at all. My sister and I are probably the youngest ones there but definitely not the fittest! I was absolutely knackered after the first week and my thighs hurt for days afterwards. Last week's class was quite enjoyable and I wasn't in so much pain after, so that's good. During both classes I did feel dizzy and sick when doing a certain part of the routine - I'm not sure what they're called but we use these stretchy rope things, put them under our feet and pull on them in certain ways. This seems to make me feel really lightheaded and weird so I have to sit down and have some water. Not quite sure what's going on there...

I've also got back into my yoga after not having Internet for nearly two weeks. I completed my 30 day challenge before moving so now I'm sort of picking and choosing which videos to follow based on how I'm feeling that day.

Today has been a very bloggy day. It's been nice to get back into it again but I am missing having a dedicated spot for photo taking. Taking photos in this new house definitely depends on the weather/light on the day as I don't have a big, bright conservatory here! I did well today on the lounge floor as it is decorated in nice light colours.

Vince and I are going to enjoy a lovely Chinese takeaway for dinner and then before I know it, it will be Monday morning again! My crochet classes start up again next week, which I'm weirdly looking forward to. I have been really bad at doing crochet in my spare time so need to get back into it again!

Hope you've all had a great weekend, let me know what you've been up to in the comments.

Sunday Summary #22

So the week started out nicely. If you read last week's post you might remember me wondering if Vince would be up for going for a walk along the seafront on Sunday evening. After an afternoon nap/laze around we did decide to get up and actually get outside as it was so nice and we had a nice long stroll. We took lots of silly pictures together too. We always say we need to take more pictures, we've not taken any together at all this year so we had a real photo session!

The week trundled along nicely. Spin class was cancelled unfortunately due to some sort of instructor problem, I'm not really sure. It did give me the evening at home though and the chance to do an extra day of yoga. I'm on day 22 of the 30 day challenge now so nearly at the end. I think once I'm finished I will go through it all again, just to get more used to the different poses and build strength. I might throw in an extra video each day if I have time too.

I'm feeling like I do want to do something a bit more energetic as well but I'm not sure what to try out. I can't really push myself too much with things like circuit training due to my asthma but it would be nice to feel like I've had a bit of a workout of some sorts.

The end of the week wasn't so good! On Thursday I went to crochet class after work as normal but when I got home Vince said our letting agency had called and it turns out our landlord is selling our house, which means we have to move out. It couldn't really have come at a worse time, right when we have zero savings, a cat to take with us and probably more debt then we had before we passed previous credit checks. So now we're into the whole cycle of looking for a place to live. We're still deciding between carrying on renting or trying somehow (I have no idea how with no savings) to get a mortgage deposit. It looks more likely that we'll just carry on renting but we're going to still have to pay deposits, admin fees and first month's rent I expect, so not good.

Our house has a viewing on Tuesday already. The agency said they could help us out with letting us know of places that become available and could also speak to landlords for us ref the cat. Finding a place that allows animals is very rare so the landlord's going to have to be persuaded that the cat isn't a problem. I'm not sure what problem landlord's have with cats to be honest. I can understand dogs a bit more but cats, ours in particular, makes absolutely no mess at all.

As I mentioned it's come at the worst time, right when I'm trying to save for a car as mine's on it's way out. I'm probably going to have to dig right into my overdraft to pay all the moving fees. The thought of moving all our stuff is not going down well either. When we first moved in it all fit into my mum's little work van but now we're going to have to hire a proper moving van. We've also got to clear out the garage, which contains our old sofa and just generally reduce all our rubbish, argh!

The ideal situation we can hope for is that another landlord buys the house in the hopes of renting it out. Then they might keep us in the house, although they'll probably put the rent up! Looking at other houses, our rent at the moment is pretty cheap so if we do end up moving we're probably going to have to pay more rent as well.

Anyway, enough of being down. It's just something we're going to have to do, however much of a pain it is. This afternoon I am hoping to have a bit of a blogging afternoon. This morning I did day 24 of my 30 days yoga challenge and also popped on a yoga video from the same channel for toning abs and arms. It was about half an hour long and it nearly killed me but weirdly I did enjoy it so I'm going to try and do it quite regularly.

I actually can't believe the weekend is nearly over already. It goes so quickly. I'm mainly looking forward to tomorrow night's Game of Thrones finale, eek! I really hope it's not going to be disappointing.

    Sunday Summary #21

Happy Sunday everyone! It's been super hot and sunny this weekend and I'm not usually one to like the sun but I have rather enjoyed it. Yesterday I had lunch at my mums out in the garden with my niece and nephew. My mum put the tent up for them, which they went absolutely mad for. So we ate lunch then headed to the park before their nap.

The rest of the day I spent cleaning the house and hoovering - all very boring but a must! This morning I popped to my sister's for breakfast. Normally I wouldn't be up so early but I thought I should get myself out of bed as it was going to be a nice day, we had heaps of pancakes with lemon and honey, delish! After I popped to a couple of shops and bought some bits for some blog posts I'm planning and now I have the rest of the afternoon stretching out infront of me. I'd quite like to go for a walk along the seafront with Vince but I don't know if he'll be keen on doing so. We'll see.

This week I've been indulging in some serious smoothie making! On Wednesday I had the afternoon off for a dentist appointment (all good!) and Vince and I did our food shop. I picked up a smoothie maker and tonnes of fruit and have been enjoying the smoothie life. The texture needs a bit of getting used to but they're tasting lovely! I'm hoping to write a blog post on it too and share some of my favourite recipes.

    Sunday Summary #20

Long time no speak once again, apologies! Last weekend I was away in Brighton for my friend's hen do so I didn't really get a chance to write my Sunday post up. It was nice to have a break but it was v.tiring due to a few nights out! Unfortunately I couldn't book Tuesday off work to recover so the only chance I've had to really catch up on my sleep was this weekend. I think I'm fully recovered now!

Despite this week only being four working days long, it still felt pretty slow. This weekend was a very chilled one. I had a nice lie-in yesterday morning before heading out for breakfast with Vince. He has booked the day off so we visited an American diner in town for a fry up, yum yum! We also had a look around town and I picked up a few bits that you'll no doubt see in a blog post very soon.

The weather was quite nice yesterday so I spent the majority of the afternoon at the park with my mum and niece and nephew. They both loved going on the swings and kept asking me to push them 'higher, higher', even little Oscar who can't say it properly. I then went back to my mum's with them and promptly fell asleep on the sofa next to Daisy. You'd think the three-year-old might need an afternoon nap, not the 26-year-old!

Today I popped back into town to pick up a parcel and a New Look order as well as spend even more money on things I probably don't really need. I've just got back and had a toastie and salad for lunch, made by Vince, and now I'm going to spend the afternoon blogging and taking photos. I feel very out of the blogging loop at the moment and I was losing interest in my blog, but then out of the blue I received an email from Essence UK telling me I'd won their blog-e award for the month of June, yay! It's not a huge thing but it's so, so nice to have one of my blog posts recognised! I also got a little goodie bag of products too, which I'll no doubt feature and I might even host a giveaway too as there are a few bits I already have!

Hope you have all had a good week and weekend! What have you got planned for the coming week? Let me know in the comments.

    Sunday Summary #19

So you'll probably be pleased to see a header image on this post that isn't of flowers from my garden, this week it's a lemur!

Yesterday I took a trip to Bristol Zoo with two of my friends from Uni. We haven't all seen eachother in a really long time so it was really nice to catch up and wander round the zoo. I really liked the Lemur section as it was a walk through so you could literally get within touching distance of them. I managed to snap a few cool pics on my phone.

There was also a walk through butterfl section, which I absolutely hated. I don't really like things like butterflies/moths/bees/wasps. Anything winged and buzzy but I went through it anyway and it was just horrible. They were flying in my face and landing on people. Kids were running around with them on their hands, my worst nightmare! Eurgh, I could not wait to get out of there.

We also got to feed some Lorikeets, which was pretty cool, apart from the fact I nearly got pooed on! All in all it was a really nice day and when we were done with the zoo we took a walk to Clifton Suspension Bridge and had ice lollies. I think I got a bit sunburnt on my head as I had such a headache for the rest of the day and now today my scalp is quite sore! Oops. My feet were also absolutely killing from all that walking.

My ankles are still hurting a bit today. That'll teach me for wearing shoes with absolutely no support. I'm also aching from doing Yoga. Yesterday's workout was particularly strenuous but I am quite enjoying doing it every day. I have had to miss the odd day here and there and I'm going away next weekend so will miss three days of doing it, which is a bit annoying, but I'll just have to pick it up again when I'm back. I am determined to complete the full 30 days.

This week I had spin class after missing a week. I thought I'd find it really hard but it wasn't too bad! There were only two of us in the class as well.

I also had crochet this week and am on to part three of the blanket, although I haven't completed parts one and two yet. I can tell this is going to take much longer than the instructions estimate. Oh well!

Today I'm trying to get my blogging for this and next week done as I won't have a chance next week. I'm also heading to my sister's this afternoon for a BBQ, which should be yummy!

    Sunday Summary #18

Last week was a big fat fail! It got to writing my Sunday post and I got as far as 'nothing much to report on this week' and closed the browser and put my laptop down. I've said this a few times but I not really feeling it with my blog at the moment. I'm thinking I need a big 'ol content rehaul and makeover (although money won't really allow a layout change) and today I'm feeling much more like I want to blog after a few little ideas started to flow last night.

It's getting to the point where I need to make the decision, either stop the blog completely or commit to it. Not that I haven't been committed before but after 6 years (yesterday was my blog birthday!) it feels like I'm not getting very far with it…I've seen other people start a blog and completely takeover the blog world with it all in less time than it's taken me to make this tiny little mark on the blog world. Instead of comparing myself to other blogs (big blogger no, no!) I'm instead going to carry on regardless and just enjoy doing it again.

Anyway, blog moan over. This week was only 4 days long but it felt like 5. I missed spin class this week as I was invited to one of our work client's tasting session at their new cafe. The food was delicious so definitely worth missing spin class for, haha! I will be returning next week though and I expect it's going to hurt this time around! I haven't missed a class since starting in February so it feels really weird!

Last week I also started the 30 days of Yoga with Adrienne program. I haven't really stuck to it daily as I've been busy or Vince has been home and I don't fancy doing it in the living room while he laughs at me! I'm not really sure if it's the best thing to start with when you're an absolute beginner as I'm finding some of the positions difficult to get into and I'm really wobbly but I guess the more I do it the better I'll be. I actually did it this morning and managed to get into the Cobra position without getting tangled up.

I was going to start Pilates tomorrow but at the moment my bank account isn't going to allow it. I don't know what on earth I've done with my money this month. I didn't think I had gone spending crazy last week but you always spend more than you realise! Oopsy.

This week coming I also have a crochet class so for that as well as spin and pilates, it would have cost me £15 in classes this week. So either Pilates starts next month or I find some more videos on Youtube. If you can recommend any then let me know!

This week's crochet class is going to be part 3 of the crochet along. I still haven't finished part 2 or even part 1 so I'm getting really behind. There are so many times in the week when I could be doing it at home but I just don't. There's usually something too distracting going on but I really need to find more time to do it or I'm never going to get it finished.

So I have a week of classes to look forward to. Today is my sister's birthday so I think I am seeing her at my mum's today for lunch. Other than that I, of course, have some blogging planned!

What have you been up to this week/weekend? Do you have much planned for the upcoming week. Let me know in the comments.

    Sunday Summary #17

    Tulip

Apologies for the flower photos at the beginning of these posts. I took a whole bunch last week when everything was looking good in the garden, lucky I did as most of the tulips are on their way out now and the garden is covered in pink blossom.

So there's another week done and we're almost into May now. I can't believe it! This week has been another pretty normal, uneventful one to be honest! I read on twitter yesterday that a blog workshop was telling people not to blog about their week but I find these sorts of posts one of the most enjoyable to write, whether anyone reads it or not! I say write about what you want!

I almost bought a Pilates/Yoga mat this week but my bank account wouldn't allow it. I think once I get paid I am going to give a Pilates class a try at the same place I do my spin classes. I'm not even sure if I need my own mat or whether they supply them but I guess if I have my own it might be a bit better as it won't be crawling with other people's sweat and germs, ew. I will report back when I do start the class and let you know how it went.

I was pleased to see my normal spin teacher back this week. I felt like the class was quite good this week. I didn't get ridiculously out of breath and I didn't get pains and stitches in my sides so all was good. I didn't reach the 27.5km I reached the week previously but I did manage 27.1km so not bad.

When I updated my iPhone to the new operating system it installed an app called Health and there's a little section in there for recording cycling distances so I've been using this to document how well I'm doing. It's very up and down but each week I seem to be in the high twenties when it comes to kilometres so I'm pretty happy with that!

There was no crochet this week so I've been doing loads at home. As I mentioned before we're working on a blanket and although it's taken me nearly two weeks, I've finally completed one section of it. Now I just have to complete another 3 sections of it before Thursday's class…not going to happen I'm afraid! We'll be moving onto the next sections, which look like little squares with flowers in so I'm really going to have to get a move on.

It probably sounds like I lead a really uneventful life…which is true I guess! This weekend has been really quiet, I've spent most of it on the sofa infront of the TV and laptop. I need to get some blogging done today for the week ahead and some crochet, of course!

    Sunday Summary #16

I think I say this pretty much every week but I can't believe it's Sunday again! This week has gone quite slow in one way but then it gets to Sunday and it feels like it's flown by. Weird. It was the first full five day week back at work after the Bank Holidays so I guess that's why it's felt longer.

I didn't get as many blog posts up as I wanted to this past week. I really need to get back into it again. I'm hoping to get my blog on this afternoon once the sun has gone in a bit - isn't that the way…all winter you wish for good light and then it finally comes and it's way too bright. I have quite a few bits and pieces to photograph and I also popped to Boots this morning to add to my haul, oops.

I really shouldn't be shopping at all to be honest. I've been to Bristol twice this month and spent so much money each time. I can only really now afford petrol and my spin and crochet classes until I get paid again. I could probably do with doing a car boot sale again to try and make a bit of extra money!

This week I had spin and crochet class. Not at the same time I might add, haha! For spin class we had a different teacher and he was a lot tougher, which I didn't enjoy! It was a really hard class but I guess if you're not getting a good workout from it then there's no point. I do find it a lot harder than everyone else to recover between songs. I think it's probably due to my asthma but everyone else seems to cool down and get going onto the next thing while I'm still very breathless. I do take my inhalers before hand but I guess I just have to take it easier than everyone else.

I was contemplating also doing a Pilates class on a Monday evening. Have any of you tried Pilates? Would you recommend it? I might give it a try once payday rolls around and I can get myself a mat for the class.

As I mentioned, I also had crochet class and we started our Lily Pond blanket project. Everyone is working on the same thing and we recently got part one of the pattern so I've made a good start. I'm kind of stuck now as it's moved on to some stitches I don't know, which is a pain. I have 4 blocks to do before the next class so I might get them all done up until the same bit then once I've learnt the new stitches, I can carry on. I swear I'm not like 90 years old! Vince always says I look like a little granny doing my crochet but I really enjoy it and although it's going to take absolutely ages, I can't wait until the blanket is finished.

Something a bit exciting that did happen this week was that the first of my posts for Magazine.co.uk's The Hub went up. It's all about a gothic/glam lipstick look, check it out here, yay! There should be some more going up soon so I'll definitely let you know once they're up.

    Sunday Summary #15

Here we are again…and once again I've left all my blogging until Sunday afternoon. I've done absolutely no housework and no washing either. Sometimes you just need a weekend where you don't spend your whole day doing housework, otherwise you feel like you haven't really had a rest. That's my excuse anyway.

Yesterday I had a nice day with Vince. We went to Bristol again. That's all we seem to do recently and it's v.bad for our bank balances but always fun! We had a wander around the shops and of course I bought lots of goodies. We stopped for lunch at a place called Tampopo in Cabot Circus. It was actually really nice and what swayed us was the free samples of viatnemese rice they were giving away outside. As usual we consumer way too much and I kind of regretted it when it came to paying the bill! I'd definitely recommend it though. It's very similar to Wagamamma (we actuall both had Katsu curry!) actually, which is probably why we liked it.

Afterwards we did a bit more shopping and headed home for an afternoon of snoozing on the sofa. I must have fell asleep about three times during the evening and I even nodded off on the way home from Bristol as well. I must have been tired!

Today has been a really lazy one. I popped to my mum's this morning with some of my crochet stuff so we could get started with the new project. Turns out she had already started so I was on my own! I've literally done one line of one of the sections and now I'm stuck so will be waiting until class on Thursday, haha!

Vince and I then went and did a food shop. Eurgh, probably the worst way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I don't mind the actual shopping part but it's just other people getting in my way, not saying thank you when I let them pass and just generally being slow and annoying. We really need to get into online food shopping I think…although we tried it once before and it usually turns into an argument.

The first five day week in two weeks is looming tomorrow! This week just gone was only four days long but it felt really long. I'm not quite sure why, possibly because it was a tad stressful, but my spin class and crochet really do help me relax, as much as spinning so fast on a bike you feel like your legs are going to fly off, can help you.

Hope you've all enjoyed the weekend, let me know in the comments what you've been up to.

    Sunday Summary #14

Hello, hello and happy Easter! How have you all been celebrating today? I went to my mum and dad's for lunch as usual, although this time it was a pretty full house with my sister and the kids and her boyfriend, mum and dad, nan, myself and Vince plus the two dogs! Very busy!

You'll be pleased to hear that the Easter bunny did indeed stop off at my mum's house and there was an egg left for me. In the run up to Easter I haven't even been bothered about having an egg or not but then this morning I saw everyone with theres and really wanted one. I also managed to get my hands on some mini eggs, which I've discovered are an Instagramer's pastel dream.

On a Sunday afternoon I'd usually have that 'back to school' feeling due to having work on a Monday but as it's Bank Holiday, I have the day off. I also had Friday off but I haven't exactly done much. Barely any blogging. I'm trying to do some now but I'm just kind of staring at my 'to review' pile and really lacking any enthusiasm whatsoever. Product photos are fine but there are loads of eyeshadow palettes I need to swatch and I don't know if I can be bothered to do any this afternoon. I really should otherwise I'm going to end up doing them all tomorrow.

At the moment I don't have much planned for tomorrow. I was going to be doing something with my sister, mum and the kids but Daisy really isn't very well so I expect I'll spend the day putting off blog photos. I am glad that it's so light still in the afternoons as it means I can do it a lot later than usual. When summer really gets going I'll even be able to get photos taken when I get home from work.

Although the week just gone was only four days long, work wise, it did feel pretty long. I had spin class on Wednesday, which was good, and crochet class on Thursday. My blanket is getting really big now, so big infact that I've ran out of wool. Stupidly I didn't buy any on Thursday while at the class so now I'm going to have to send Vince to get me some on Tuesday.

During the next class we're going to be starting the crochet along project altogether. We've got all of our wool, which is so lovely, so now we just need to get going, eek!

I guess I better get back to my blog photos now. I hope you've all had a good Easter Sunday, enjoy your days off tomorrow if you have one!

    Sunday Summary #13

    Sunday Summary

I can't believe it's Sunday again! The past week went SO fast and this week coming is only four days long, which is great but also bad because it means a day less to get everything done. I'm not quite sure what I'm doing on Good Friday, probably not a lot!

On Wednesday I had spin class again. Recently I haven't really been pushing myself hard enough so this week I made sure to up the resistance properly so I could really feel it. I think I did quite well and although it was super hard I still really enjoyed it. I have another class this week coming as well as my next crochet class. This week we're starting a new project, it's a 'crochet along' where everyone works on the same project, using the same pattern and doing it altogether in the class. We've seen the finished blanket we're going to be making and it looks SO complicated, not sure how I'm going to get on with it, eek!

This week my mum and dad got a new puppy!! Eeeek! She's so cute. She is an all white Border Collie with a few flecks of grey. They got her from Wales from really bad conditions, she is blind in one eye but my mum and dad didn't want to leave her so brought her home. We took her to the vets yesterday and she has a heart murmur and is really, really small for her age. The heart murmur could go away with age but the vet wants her to put on some weight. You can see some pictures over on my Instagram.

She's so teeny tiny, she looks like a little polar bear. She's so cuddly and playful and although she keeps bumping into things when she's walking around, she is settling in well. My mum and dad's other dog, Jasper, doesn't seem to mind too much so far.

So my week has pretty much consisted of cooing over the puppy. Later yesterday afternoon I popped to mum's again as my sister was round with the kids. They absolutely love her and want to cuddle her all the time! I expect I will get some more cuddles in on Thursday before crochet class! If you're ever in a bad/sad mood then cuddling a puppy or a cat works wonders!

Most of today has already passed and I've so far only hoovered and cleaned the bathroom. I'm going to attempt to take some blog photos this afternoon after demolishing my chocolate spread on toast, yum yum!

    Sunday Summary #12

    Sunday Summary

I can't believe it's been exactly a week since I was sitting here writing this post and staring into the beauty of a long, week off. Now I'm staring at a week back at work, but am trying not to think about it too much or I won't sleep tonight!

I had a pretty relaxing week off to be honest. Thankfully my car passed its MOT and so didn't need any work. I couldn't actually believed it passed and no advisories either, not sure what's going on there…

I spent some of the week taking blog photos but not nearly as many as I would have liked to. I also gave the house a good clean and tidy up, although you wouldn't be able to tell now.

Vince had most afternoon's off so we spent most of them watching cheesy daytime TV quiz shows and napping. On Friday we got up early to watch the eclipse, although we had no special sunglasses so couldn't really appreciate the full effect. We then got ready and headed to Bristol for the day. We had lunch at one of our favourite all-you-can-eat Asian fusion restaurants and did some shopping! I spent way too much money during the week so am on a bit of a spending ban this week besides paying for petrol!

It was really nice to have spin class and crochet class this week and not have to rush back from work for them. I did well at spin and enjoyed it again but still need to work on that 'ol resistance! Crochet class was good, after being stuck on one bit on my blanket for two weeks I was finally able to get on with it and am now flying through it. I've probably made some mistakes in it but the untrained eye won't be able to tell so I'm going to keep going - I want to make it quite big so I can put it on the bed. Hopefully when it's finished I can post a picture or maybe write a blog post about my new hobby but if you really are that interested, I've posted a couple of snaps over on my Instagram. I really never thought I'd keep it going this long!

Next class we're going to be starting a lily pond blanket but we're doing it all together each week. It looks pretty complicated but I'm sure we'll do ok. I've been really into looking up patterns online and trying them out on my own but they usually end up going completely wrong, but I guess it's the best way to learn.

I don't really have anything planned this coming week, other than work. I'm pretty happy though as I have one full week and then the week after is only four days due to Good Friday so I have a nice long weekend coming, hurrah!

How has your week and weekend been? Let me know in the comments.

    Sunday Summary #11

As I write this I currently have one long week of complete nothingness stretching out ahead of me…in other words, I have a week off work, but it's been a bit of a stressful process in the lead up to it as I've had to make sure the majority of my jobs are complete. Anyway, enough of thinking of work, how am I going to spend my week off I hear you cry?! Doing as much blogging as possible of course!

It all starts tomorrow with some post planning. I'm hoping to get up relatively early (8am ish) and have a nice cup of tea and Youtube catch up before ploughing on with what posts I want to make live this week. I then want to plan for the rest of the month and as far into next month as I can. If there's any sort of posts you'd like to see then do let me know!

As well as blogging I also plan to tidy my house. It's an absolute mess at the moment, not with dirt, but just lots of stuff everywhere and it all needs putting away. Sometimes you just need time off to catch up on things. I'm hoping to sort my wardrobe out and sort my bedroom out a bit as well.

My car is due an MOT tomorrow so unless I walk somewhere, it will definitely be a day at home. I don't expect it will pass the MOT so will probably need some work doing to it this week as well, fingers crossed it can be done this week as I pretty much booked the entire week off especially for it.

As I mentioned this week has been a bit stressful and I hoped my spin class would help get rid of some of it but this week I wasn't really feeling it. I'm not sure why but I just wanted it to end and I wanted to get home, which is a shame, but I am determined to get back into it this week and really push the resistance! I was also thinking about doing some extra classes this week, but can't decide which!

This week coming will be great as I won't have to rush home from work for my class. I also have crochet this coming week and I am so glad because I am SO stuck! I've spent most of this afternoon starting it, taking it all out and then starting it again. It's driving me absolutely mad. I was hoping to get some done in the week as well but that's totally gone out of the window!

This weekend has been pretty quiet. Yesterday was REALLY quiet infact. I didn't get up until 10.30am and then didn't get dressed until lunch time. As I got up so late it left me feeling tired all day long, so much so that I fell asleep again in the afternoon. It was such a waste of the day to be honest as I could have got so much done but sometimes you just need a lazy day!

This morning I popped to Mum's for breakfast with my sister and the kids. For Mother's Day I got her a bag for all of her craft bits, she has absolutely loads now! I need to get a bag for myself soon I think as I'm already building up a collection of wool.

How has your weekend been? Have you got much planned for the coming week?

    Sunday Summary 10

As if it's that time of the week already. This year is just whizzing by! How has your week been? Mine has been rather uneventful but I'll update you anyway… work was fine and I've noticed that it's currently getting lighter and lighter in the evenings already, which I am really loving. I can't wait until the summer when I can come home from work at 6.30pm and take blog photos, how brilliant will that be?! It will certainly free up my weekends a little bit that's for sure.

So this week I had another spin class. I think I've been to four now, which is way more than I thought I'd ever do. I'm actually really enjoying it and each week am trying to beat my 'scores' the previous week. I reached 29km this time and 85 RPM, which I was quite impressed with. At one point I also hit 147 RPM but I think I had a bit of a dodgy bike this week…it seemed really loose and even when I put resistance on it didn't feel like too much of a struggle. Then, all of a sudden, I'd put more resistance on and I wouldn't even be able to move the pedals round. Bit strange, hopefully next week I'll have a better bike.

I also had another crochet class this week and we learnt to do a V-stitch crochet blanket and my goodness, I've never been so confused! The pattern just looked like complete gobbledigook to my mum and I but we managed to power through. Now we're back at home we're struggling a bit, but carrying on if it looks right…probably not the best idea but we don't have another class for two weeks now.

I don't really know where yesterday went. I got up around 9am, had some tea and watched a few Youtube videos before getting showered and dressed. Then I popped to my mum's for lunch and back home for around 2pm as we had to take the cat to the vets. We failed miserably though. When I left the house he was fast asleep in our spare room and he usually stays asleep inside for most of the day but when I got home he was gone and didn't come back in time for our appointment so we had to cancel. Then he strolled through the cat flap ten minutes later…it's as if he knew.

Today Vince and I are going to the mall to do a bit of shopping. Actually, the real reason Vince wanted to go is because it's a good long drive away and he's just got a new car so wants to drive all over the place. He got it earlier in the week and went up to Birmingham to pick it up so he's a very happy bunny at the moment!

How has your week been? Have you got much looking to look forward to? I have this week coming at work and then a week off, I can't believe it!

    Sunday Summary #9

I had such high blogging hopes today but the day has totally run away from me. I woke up at 8.30am and thought to myself I'd clean the house first and then get taking bloggy photos and writing lots of posts but it's now 3.50pm and this is the first post I've written so far…I ended up cleaning the house but then Vince and I went and did a food shop, went to Pets At Home and then B&Q as well and the day has pretty much disappeared. I have taken some photos to tide me over post-wise for the week but I really need to get back on it when it comes to blogging. I have really slipped this past two weeks or so. I initially wanted to improve my posts and change the way I did them, so instead of review after review I would do more magazine-style posts but I've sort of stopped so I really need to get back into doing it again.

I have a week off coming up from March 16 so guess what I'll be doing…blogging, blogging and more blogging. I really need to sit down and have a big idea session for upcoming posts and just get back to how organised I was at the beginning of the month!

This week seems to have gone pretty quickly! I seem to have been very sleepy in the evenings this week for some reason, falling asleep on the sofa infront of the TV. Not good. I'm trying my hardest right now not to put the laptop down and have a little nap!

I had spin class again this week and managed .5 of a KM more than last week, bringing me to 26.5km and 82 RPM. I didn't give it my all this week, not sure why to be honest, I just felt more tired! I am still enjoying it though and I'm already looking forward to the next class.

This week coming I've got another crochet class. I have been practising like a good student and have now completed two, yes two, granny squares for my blanket. If it takes this long to make just two squares then this blanket isn't going to be finished any time soon.

Yesterday I had a nice lazy morning infront of the TV and laptop and then begrudgingly got dressed and ready to do a few chores such as posting my giveaway prize, picking up my perscription, getting my eyebrows waxed and all that boring stuff! I then went to my mum and dad's for lunch with my sister and the kids and in the afternoon I met up with my sister again for an iced tea in Costa. We're absolutely loving the peach iced teas in there, amazing!

How has your weekend been? Let me know your plans for this week coming…

    Sunday Summary #8

Makeup Revolution Triple Baked Highlighter, Bronzer & Blusher

I can't believe it's nearly 3pm on Sunday already, where on earth has this weekend gone?

I've literally spent most of this weekend at my mum and dad's house. Yesterday morning I had to take my car over there so my dad could look at it for me. It's been overheating/losing water this week and the heating has stopped working, but luckily my dad managed to fix it. Good old Dad! Anyway, it took a couple of hours and I was even made to give the car a bit of a clean as well.

I then popped home with a Subway for Vince and I for lunch, fell asleep for half an hour and then was back out to go to my sister's house and then back to my mum's with my niece and nephew. Vince had work from 3pm until 10pm so I had the evening to myself, of which I spent it sitting on the laptop, half watching TV, doing the washing and making pasta and meatballs, what a multi-tasker!

Today has been a bit more of the same. Unfortunately the weather is rubbish so my blog photo taking plans went straight out the window. Instead I went to Frankie & Benny's with my mum and dad and my niece and nephew for breakfast. I couldn't decide between the bacon and syrup pancakes and the big breakfast but went for the breakfast in the end. I'm actually still full up now…

I then popped back to their house for a cup of tea and to see my nan who came round and finally I am back home. I took a quick couple of blog photos while the lighting wasn't too bad as I really want to get a review of Fleur de Force's book up this week. I managed to get some decent snaps so I have a couple of posts to write up this afternoon as well as doing some washing/tidying/cleaning. Fun, fun, fun!

Vince has worked a lot of reception shifts until 10pm this week so I've been pretty lonely! On Wednesday night I had my spin class as usual. I managed 26km again this week, the same as last week, which I'm pretty happy with! I managed to hit 142rpm as well, which made my legs almost fall off.

This week was also crochet class and I found it so difficult. My mum and I decided to give 'granny squares' a go, but it's not as simple as crocheting a square, oh no. There's so much more to it and my mind just went completely blank. I eventually got the hang of it but really need to keep practising!

Did anyone watch Eastenders live week? I was SO impressed with the live acting, apart from the odd mistake. How's Adam? Haha! Vince actually guessed correctly that the murderer was Bobby so he was pretty annoyed that he hadn't put a bet on it!

Have you got much planned for the coming week? I'll be practising my crochet for most of it I think!

    Sunday Summary #7

Hello, happy Sunday! This is the first chance I've had all day to sit down and get on the laptop. I didn't wake up until 10.30am, woops, and then had to pop to the shops and pick up a few things, then I went straight to my mum's for lunch as my cousin was visiting with her kids. I stayed there for a couple of hours, have come home and am currently having a sit down and a cup of tea before tackling the washing up and cleaning of the bathroom. I was hoping to get some more blog photos done but I think I took enough last weekend that I could probably survive this weekend without doing any. I don't have much planned for next weekend so I can get on with it then!

How was everyone's Valentine's Day? Vince got me a card and a lovely bunch of pink, glittery roses that you can see pictured above. They're so pretty! I do love getting flowers, roses especially. They just make the house look so much nicer and more grown up. I always like having lots of flowers around the house but haven't done so recently so need to get back on that through the spring/summer.

Yesterday Vince and I popped to my mum's to see her and my dad/my sister and my niece and nephew before we went to Bristol for a bit of shopping! We were originally contemplating eating a late lunch/dinner in Bristol but as it was Valentine's Day the prices would probably be about double for a normal meal so instead we had lunch at mum's and then ordered a Chinese takeaway in the evening. The takeaway actually ended up taking an hour and half to arrive, which was very annoying!

I had my third spin class on Wednesday. I think my legs/bum must be getting used to it now as they didn't really hurt at all afterwards and I did really push myself during the class. I managed 26km this time, which was great compared to the week previously when I did 21.5km. I'm going again on Wednesday and I'm really enjoying it, there was talk of a spin class on a Sunday morning, which I probably wouldn't do but I was contemplating the Saturday morning class or maybe even a different class altogether, such as Zumba. Let me know if you've tried Zumba and how you found it.

Vince is doing a lot of late shifts this week coming so I'm going to be on my own most evenings. On Thursday I'll be going to my next crochet class, which I'm looking forward to. At the last class the teacher said there's just a few more basic moves we need to learn and then we can start making things! I can't belive it. I think I want to make a hat but by the time it's finished it won't really be cold enough for hats so I thought I'd give a blanket a go or maybe a toy for the cat, I can't really decide!

Other than my classes I don't really have much going on. The rest of the day will probably spent doing boring things such as changing the bed, cleaning and then finally settling down to watch TV. I think I'm definitely going to need to have a bath as my sinuses are really hurting at the moment so need the steam to help clear them. I have rhinitis/sinusitis but they haven't hurt in quite a while, I have had a cold recently though so that's probably the cause of it, grr.

Hope you have all had a good week/weekend. Let me know what you got up to in the comments.

    Sunday Summary #6

Unbelievably we're nearly into the second week of February. Last week I mentioned I had my final contact lense appointment, which went well. I'm officially a contact lense wearer, although I don't wear them every day. After the appointment I had a bit of a look around town and bought a few bits. I also popped into the hairdressers and got my hair chopped, eek! The place is actually a drop in one so there's no appointment needed and it costs just £9.90 for a cut and then an extra £9.90 for add ons. Anyway as it was a pretty cheap cut I wasn't expecting anything too impressive but I do like it. I got it cut just above my shoulders, which is quite a change as it was down to my waist! I'll try and get some pictures of it soon!

This week has been a bit of a stressful one to be honest, but I got some nice flowers and chocolates from work on Tuesday as a thank you for my hard work, so that was pretty lovely!

On Wednesday I attended my second spin class! I'm pretty proud of myself for going actually. After a stressful day at work it was probably the last thing I wanted to do but I didn't want to give up after one class so I forced myself to go and wow was it painful this time around. I think the first time I went I must really not have pushed myself enough as this time around I really tried to keep up with the instructions and I could barely walk afterwards. I guess that's the sign of a good work out! My legs haven't hurt too badly this past few days but I did have to have a hot bath on Wednesday night to help ease them a bit. I'm looking forward to going again and seeing if I can get my resistance up a bit more. This class just gone I managed 21.5km which is an improvement on the previous week, where I got 18km!

Also this week I went along to my second crochet class. The classes are every other week but I feel like I need them every week just because there's only so much you can practice the same stitch over and over again. I think I'm just too impatient and I want to start making things already! During the class I learnt the triple stitch (I think!) but I was getting pretty frustrated with myself throughout as every time I come to the end of a line I'm finding it difficult to tell if there's a stitch left or not, most of the time I think there isn't when there actually is and I'm ending up with a bit of a jagged edge, oh well, practice makes perfect I guess…maybe two weeks between classes isn't so bad after all. I also managed to pick up some different patterend bits of card for my blog photo backgrounds, so look out for those!

Vince and I have been discussing painting some of the house this week. We want to paint the bathroom, which is currently a disgusting snot green. I want a light, minty green shade but Vince prefers blue. I think we've settled on a light blue shade, which does actually already match our shower curtain and bath mat so I guess that's what we're going to go with. I don't think it will be too bad as there's only really one main wall to paint.

Vince also wants to paint and sort out the conservatory. The conservatory is pretty unusable most of the year. In the winter it's extremely cold, you can't sit out there without freezing and in the summer it's insanely boiling so again, you can't sit out there! Anyway, I told Vince he could do what he wanted with it…so he's bought Spice Red paint…eek! Luckily, as most of it's glass there's not much to paint. I'm sure it will look fine!

Yesterday Vince had the day off work so we had a huge lie-in and I did plan to take LOADS of blog photos as the lighting was perfect but instead I sat on the sofa most of the day watching episodes of Prison Break, oops! I am aiming to get them all taken today as I have quite a big of a back log of products building up, wish me luck…

    Sunday Summary #5

I've just realised it's actually February 1 today, where did that come from? January went SO quickly. This past week has gone pretty quickly too, as I mentioned last week I booked a spin class for Monday but unfortunately my car flashed up at me the fact it needed new brake fluid so I took it to my parent's after work so my dad could do it for me and had to cancel the class. However, I did re-book for Wednesday evening instead!

I felt a bit silly at first as I really didn't know what I was doing. When I walked in everyone was sat on their bike and there were only two free right at the front. I had no idea how to make the bike my height so had to wait for the instructor. She finally turned up and showed me what to do etc and then the class got started. I don't know if it was because I was sat under the air conditioning or if I wasn't doing it properly but everyone else seemed to be sweating buckets and I wasn't! I'm thinking I probably didn't push myself hard enough as I was brand new to it and just sort of kept at my own pace but will have to try harder this week. My legs and bum definitely hurt for a few days afterwards though, those seats are NOT comfortable! I'm going to go on Wednesday again this week and then I think my sister is going to join me on Monday evenings.

This week I also have another crochet class so really need to get on with practising that. I haven't done very much at all compared to my mum, who has even started teaching herself new stitches, teacher's pet!!

Yesterday was a pretty busy day as I attended another blogger event. This one was in Bristol (yay for nearby events!) at the Georgio Armani counter in House of Fraser. I'm actually going to write a dedicated post about this one, which should hopefully be up this coming week, but it was really nice to go to another event as I don't get to go to them very often. Most events are in London on a week day and obviously due to work I can't attend but this one was on a Saturday afternoon! I actually popped into Primark beforehand and bought a few bits, which wasn't a good idea as those make-up counters aren't very big and I kept bashing everyone with my massive Primark bag.

I then had to catch the train home and get ready to go out for a meal with my friend Sarah, who I used to work with. We haven't seen eachother since before Christmas so we went out for a Thai and a couple of drinks, which was really nice. The food was so good too!

I was planning to take blog photos this morning but, being realistic, I probably won't before I go to my mum's for lunch and then into town later this afternoon for my contact lense appointment. This appointment is the final one and hopefully I can get myself some lenses to wear whenever I like. I might pop into a few shops while I'm in town too…oops.

Have you got much planned this coming week? I've got my crochet and spin class and I am thinking of trying Zumba too, let me know if you've tried it and what you thought.

    Sunday Summary #4

    Makeup Revolution Naked Chocolate Palette

Here we are again, another Sunday Summary! I can't believe we're already on number four and into the last week of January. It's absolutely flown by.

Recently I mentioned that I wanted to spend less time sat on my bum on the sofa and more time doing things after work/at weekends. So, on Thursday my nan, my mum and I all headed to a Crochet class at a craft shop in town. It probably sounds like something an 86 year old should be doing and not a 26 year old but I actually really enjoyed it. I thought I wouldn't be able to do it at all and I'd get annoyed with it and wouldn't want to go back the following week, but surprisingly I was able to do it and am definitely going back next time. We only learnt the very basics and I've brought it home with me to practice inbetween classes, but eventually I want to make a hat, a blanket for my bed and even a toy for the cat, which I'm sure he'll rip to pieces straight away. To be honest, it's quite an easy thing to do and it's quite theraputic as well.

Tomorrow (fingers crossed I can book it) I am hoping to go to a spin class after work, which I'm very nervous about. I'm not sure if I can book on the day and if I can't then I may have to leave it until mid week or even next week, but hopefully my sister will be coming with me so it should be fun. Although, I am the most unfit person there is so I should probably start with something a bit less intense to get my body used to it but I just thought those sort of pilates/yoga classes I would find a bit boring so thought I'd throw myself in at the deep end. I don't expect my legs will thank me the next day but I'll keep you updated!

As if that wasn't enough I've also taken up scrapbooking, which I'm not sure if I've mentioned yet or not. I was going to do the Project Life scrapbook, which has shot to fame after Youtuber Lily Pebbles made a video about it, but it turns out to be really expensive. The folder you use is £20 and all the add ons really make the pounds stack up so I've gone for something a little more budget friendly. It's called the 'La De Dah' journal and is very similar to Project Life but the folder was £10 and all the add ones are either one or two pounds, which is much better. I'm hoping to write a proper post about it, once I've got all the bits photographed. I think it will be nice to look back on it at the end of the year!

This week I hit 1,600 Bloglovin' followers, which I am absolutely over the moon about! I can't believe that many people might be interested in what I have to say. Thank you to everyone who has followed and who comments regularly! I have a little resolution/goal for the blog this year and that's to reach 2,000 Bloglovin followers - I would be so, so happy with that! So, before you go, if you're not already, then make sure you're following on Bloglovin here.
