If you like Piña Coladas...The Body Shop Piñita Colada Shower Gel

The Body Shop Piñita Colada Shower Gel
The Body Shop Piñita Colada Shower Gel

I literally have not got the 'if you like Piña Coladas' song out of my head since I set eyes on The Body Shop's new range. It just won't budge, so I took it as a sign that I needed to get myself some of the items from the collection. I found myself in The Body Shop recently having a little browse and couldn't decide what to pick up. I was going to go for the sorbet but I remembered I still had one of the Green Tea sorbets taking up room in my bathroom cupboard, so didn't fancy adding to it any further. I was going to go for the scrub too but it's a pretty big tub and to be honest I wouldn't use it that often so I opted for the shower gel as I know I'll definitely use it regularly.

It was £5, which isn't too pricey for The Body Shop. Some of the bits in there can get a little on the expensive side. The scent is more than worth the money though and I love the style of bottle as opposed to the brand's usual ones. I much prefer the milk bottle look of this one.

When it comes to the actual product itself, well it's just delicious. It's obviously got a cocnutty Piña Colada scent that just takes me straight back to my childhood and to the scent of holidaying abroad. If I can't go away on holiday then at least using this in the shower will make it feel like I'm somewhere hot and sunny!

As well as smelling gorgeous the shower gel is quite nice and thick and really lathers well. You only need a small drop so this will last absolutely ages and the coconut scent stays on the skin for hours after use. I'm super happy I picked this up, even if I didn't need a shower gel at all! It's a lovely little pick-me-up for the mornings so I'd definitely recommend picking up a bottle if you can.

Ted Baker Body Soufflé

Ted Baker Body Souffle
Ted Baker Body Soufflé - £10

I'm not entirely sure how long Ted Baker beauty has been around but in my local Boots it's pretty new in stock. When I spied it on the shelves I was fairly impressed, not only at the pretty packaging, but also at the reasonable pricing. It sits comfortably on the shelves down the 'bath and body' aisle alongside Soap & Glory and Sanctuary products...you know the one now don't you?

The range consists of body soufflés, body sprays and body lotions in pink or mint green packaging. I opted for the pink body souffle, which contains notes of grapefruit, mango, mandarin, neroli and jasmine that instantly whisk me away to a foreign country and that delicious scent of suncream, sea and freshness.

At £10 I wasn't expecting a miracle product here, just something cheap and cheerful and I've got just that. It's a lovely moisturising 'souffle' that leaves your skin wonderfully soft and smelling gorgeous for a good few hours after application. This tub will also last absolutely ages, which is a huge bonus and its geometric pretty pink packaging makes it look super fancy on your bathroom shelves.

Dove Nourishing Body Washes

Dove Nourishing Body Wash
Dove Deeply Nourishing Body Wash - £2.40*
Dove Go Fresh Nourishing Body Wash in Blue Fig and Orange Blossom*

Dove Nourishing Body Wash

Recently I received an email that for a change, actually caught my eye. It was about the new nourishing body washes from Dove and it came with some pretty interesting statistics that I thought I'd share with you.

The reason it caught my eye was because it stated that 33% of people say we feel irritated and grumpy throughout the day if it gets off to a bad start. I have to say I'm definitely one of those people that feel like this if my mornings don't go to plan. If I get stuck in lots of traffic while driving to work or if I forget something then it can really spoil the rest of the day.

A bad night's sleep is one of the top reason's for people being grumpy through the day. This really affects me too so if I don't really sleep properly then I'll be tired through the day, which usually leads to grumpiness.

So with these statistics in mind Dove has come up with some new body washes that aim to get your morning off to a good start by nourishing your skin deeply and leaving you feeling relaxed and ready for the day.

I received two of the new body washes, one in a normal scent and another in a luxurious blue fig and orange blossom. You can't go wrong with an unscented/normal body wash. This lathers up really well in the shower and leaves the skin feeling supersoft for hours after application. It's a rich and creamy body wash and you really only need a tiny amount as a little really goes a long way with this.

The blue fig and orange blossom smells amazing! I don't think I've tried anything that's scented with either so it was a real change for me. I usually go for fruity and sweet scents but this one is so powerful that it really wakes you up. It also lathers up really well and leaves your skin smelling super fresh and feeling super soft.

For just under £2.50 these are well worth buying as they'll last absolutely ages. They're a lovely treat for the skin and they truly get deep into the skin and nourishes it well!

Sanctuary Bathtime Bliss

Sanctuary Bathtime Bliss Body Lotion and Bath Float

Sanctuary Bathtime Bliss candles and diffuser
I was so happy to receive the Sanctuary Bathtime Bliss gift set. Sanctuary is a brand that everyone is probably familiar with. It's products are heavily stocked in Boots stores all over the coutry and the brand is also famous for its spas in London as well.

When I received the gift set I was really pleased that there were some candles in the set and even a diffuser as well! Admittedly, I haven't used these to create some nice mood lighting while in the bath, instead I've lit them in my lounge and they've been busily burning away, leaving a little vanilla-esque scent in the room.

I've never used a diffuser before but I'm definitely converted. The scent is 'classic' and is a bit husky and strong, but it's really nice to get a faint whiff of it every now and again. The thing with a diffuser is that it produces a scent until all of the oil is gone and there is certainly a decent amount of oil to use up as well. I'll definitely be investing in more diffusers in the future.

The body lotion and bath float that both come within this set are really lovely. The body lotion is luxurious and sinks in really quickly. There is a lovely ginger and jojoba scent as well, leaving the skin smelling lovely all day. The bath float is equally gorgeous and leaves your skin feeling silky smooth after use.

I would definitely recommend this gift set. It would make the perfect Christmas gift and for £18, it is certainly reasonable.

Jergens Cherry Almond Moisturiser

Jergens Cherry Almond Moisturiser
Boots:  Jergens Cherry Almond Moisturiser - £3.49*
Jergens Cherry Almond Moisturiser
Not long ago I reviewed the Jergens Cocoa Butter Moisturiser and it was an instant hit with me, so when I was asked if I would like to try the new Cherry-Almond version, I didn't hesitate.

It does smell rather amazing! Almonds mixed with cherries funnily enough, but I think perhaps a Cherry-only scent would be just a tad more delicious.

It's a very reasonably priced moisturiser for just £3.49 in Boots and it feels great on my skin. The scent lingers for a little while, which is something I really love after using a product.

This is a lovely long-lasting product. I'm not even half way through the first Cocoa Butter moisturiser I was sent, so it will be nice to alternate between the two for a little while.

Have you tried Jergen's new Cherry Almond moisturiser?
