Good Things Spa Body Wash and Bath Soak

Good Things Spa Body Wash and Bath Soak

Is there anything better than a lovely hot bubble bath on a Sunday evening? It can be made ten times better with the addition of lovely products as well so when I was sent a couple of pieces from the new Good Things Spa Range, I couldn't wait to jump in the tub!

Good Things has been a favourite budget brand of mine for a little while now. The Good Things Manuka Honey Daily Moisturiser was a big hit with me so I was really interested to learn more about the new Spa range.

The new Spa collection consists of three different ranges - Acai Berry, Manuka Honey and Argan Oil - all offering a bit more of an indulgent and luxurious home spa experience. I was sent the Manuka Honey Bath Soak, which I absolutely adore. The 300ml bottle enables me to pour a huge glug of this into the bath and the nourising manuka honey, almond oil and shea butter makes my skin feel super soft not only while in the water but for a long time after I've got out as well.

Another generously sized product is the Acai Berry Body Wash, which is packed full of super scented and anti-oxidant rich superfruits, including acai berry, raspberry and cranberry. The fruity fragranced wash deeply cleanses the skin and leaves you feeling super refreshed. It can be used in the morning in the shower for a little pick-me-up or you can smell the sweet fruity scents in a gorgeous bubble bath in the evening.

The prices of these products are ridiculously low. The bath soak comes in at £3.49 and the body wash at £2.99 so they make the perfect treat to yourself or maybe a loved one for Christmas? They'd make fab stocking fillers!

Head to toe pampering with 7th Heaven

7th Heaven Pulped Papaya Rescue Masque and Foot Pumice and Foot Butter

If, like me, you were a girl growing up in the nineties then you'll recognise these little 7th Heaven sachets as a staple of girly sleepovers. The cheap and cheerful pampering products of which you could never pronounce the name, were always on shelves in local Superdrug stores and supermarkets and there were so many different ones to choose from too.

Back then the brand was called Montagne Jeunesse but it has recently been re-named to 7th Heaven - this was apparently to celebrate the brand's 30th birthday and the name was chosen by the fans/followers.

Fast forward a good couple of years and I never thought, at nearly 27-years-old, I'd be turning to these little packs on a Sunday night for a pre-work pamper sesh.

I was recently sent the Pulped Papaya Hair Masque and the Foot Pumice and Foot Butter so I was literally pampering myself from my head to my toes!

A couple of tips for you before I go any further...I would recommend using these in a bath as opposed to a shower. The hair masque needs to be left for five minutes or so and it's particularly difficult to get on with other shower things such as shaving/cleaning in a small shower cubicle, while the shower is running and you're trying not to wash off your hair masque. I'd also recommend opening the packets before getting under the water as they're a little difficult to open once your hands are wet!

After washing my hair as normal I swifly slathered on a good half of the contents of the hair mask sachet. The masque itself is a pinky coloured, thick, almost smoothie-like mixture that I worked into the hair and left for around five minutes. The pulped papaya not only filled the shower with delicious aroma but it made my hair smell heavenly, even 24 hours after use.

After five minutes you simply wash off the masque and get on with your day. I let my hair dry naturally so it was a little while before I knew whether the masque had had any effect or not. I must say it left my hair smelling great and feeling extremely soft. It hasn't felt this soft in a long time and regular use of these masques can only do wonders to it I feel.

I'm trying this 'thing' where I look after my hair more. I'm trying to use less heat on it after blow drying it every.single.day and not washing it as often either so any sort of masque I can use to help tackle damage is going straight on there!

I was particularly interested to try the foot pumice and butter as well as I do suffer from dry, cracked heels. Nasty, I know! Again, I used around half of the sachet and rubbed in the foot pumice furiously! The pumice is peppermint-scented, which helps with any foot odour you might be suffering from while the grains help rub away dry, flaky skin. It's quite a nice feeling to apply and it's great for giving yourself a little foot massage with. Again, I'd recommend doing this in the bath otherwise you end up hopping around the shower trying to apply.

Once out of the shower I dried my feet and applied the foot butter, which is a pretty common shea butter conconction. It dries relatively quickly so you aren't left walking around your tip-toes waiting for it to sink in. It left my feet feeling super smooth and my dry heels were well buffed - a few more uses and I think this could do some really good things. I'll definitely be using it regularly.

Overall I had a great pampering session and really enjoyed these little cheap and cheerful sachets. For £1 these are an absolute bargain as well - people often think cheap products won't help or make any difference but I'm really impressed with both of the sachets I received and I will definitely be giving some different ones a try in the future.

You'll also be pleased to hear 7th Heaven uses natural and cruelty-free ingredients in its vegetarian kitchen.

Have you tried 7th Heaven before? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Molton Brown Heavenly Gingerlily Collection

Molton Brown Heavenly Gingerlily Collection
Molton Brown Heavenly Gingerlily Collection
Molton Brown Heavenly Gingerlily Collection
Molton Brown Heavenly Gingerlily Collection

This package was probably one of the most dreamy packages I've received as a blogger so far. It contained some products from Molton Brown's new Heavenly Gingerlily collection*. The range has launched to celebrate Molton Brown's new set of Body Polishers...the 3-step Gingerlily routine, containing a body wash, polisher and body lotion infuses scents reminiscent of Tahiti to leave skin perfectly pampered.

I absolutely adore Molton Brown products and every time I pass one of its shops I just have to have a look and a sniff around. All the products are super luxurious and are the ones you only get on special occasions like birthdays or Christmas so I'm feeling super lucky to have received this heavenly little package.

The Gingerlily scent is heavy with ginger, of course, as well as white lily and a kick of spicy tuberose. All of the products contain Polynesian tamanu nut oil too, which makes them really enriching on the skin.

The body wash and lotion are both so lovely and softening on the skin. The body wash is lovely and spicy smelling and really fills the shower with aroma. I'm not usually keen on body lotions as they often don't dry very quickly and leave skin feeling sticky but this wasn't the case here. The lotion is lovely and creamy and dries super quickly. It's lovely and softening on the skin too after you've buffed yourself with the polisher.

The sizes of the bottles mean these are going to last forever as well but the real star of the show is the body polisher, which contains Tahitian black sand and leaves the skin feeling ridiculously soft. As you use it it transforms from a gel-like substance into a milk so it's really easy to use in the bath and shower. It's great for using on dry skin and I suffer from horrid itchy bumps on my legs after shaving, so this really helps to soften my legs out a bit!

I know it's still a little early but if you're getting your Christmas lists written and things in order then this set would make a lovely gift for someone.

Budget beauty treats: Dirty Works Cucumber Eye Pads and Buff Your Stuff Body Scrub

Dirty Works Cucumber Eye Pads and Body Scrub

There seems to be a bit of a pre-bedtime routine theme running on the blog this week. Today I've decided to feature some more products that I've been loving at bath time on a Sunday evening.

I spotted the Dirty Works Cucumber Eye Pads* on a couple of blogs and I was so intrigued about them. I don't really suffer from puffy eyes or bags (at least I don't think my bags are too big!) but it's always good to give that area a little treat. The pads themselves are pre-moistened with soothing cucumber & aloe vera and come in sealed packets, perfect for popping on when you're in the bath. They're super soothing and cooling too, you can make them even more cooling by popping them into the fridge before use as well, perfect for the hot weather.

I've never tried anything like this before and it was a bit strange and tricky not to open my eyes. I definitely wouldn't recommend opening your eyes, even a bit as you'll definitely get the cucumbery juices in them, not that they stung too much though!

After using the pads I felt like the area round my eyes felt really soft and soothed. They're ideal if you've had little sleep the night before or are particularly stressed out and puffy. I'd definitely recommend as a little Sunday evening pick-me-up!

The Buff Your Stuff scrub* is also another cute, cheap and cheerful product I've been using for a couple of weeks now. I particularly like using the scrub on my legs before shaving to counteract shaving rash. The scrub itself contains sweet almond oil, which smells amazing and helps leave my legs feeling lovely and soft. The only thing I would say is that I'd prefer it is had more scrub beads in it. I feel like it needs more when I rub it in, I like to really feel the 'scrub' over my skin if that makes sense.

Overall I'm pretty impressed with these two products. They're the perfect purse friendly beauty treats and are easily available in your local Sainsburys!

The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Body Sorbet

The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Body Sorbet
The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Body Sorbet

I recently went a bit mad for The Body Shop's new Fuji Green Tea range. I picked up the Bath Tea, featured here as well as the Body Sorbet. I picked up the body sorbet not only for a scent but I thought the word sorbet sounded 'kinda fancy for a moisturiser/shower product.

I've been using this every other day or so for the past two weeks and I'm lovin' it, lovin' it, lovin' it! It not only smells amazingly fresh and zingy, which is perfect for your morning shower, but it's also super duper rich and thick and melts beautifully into the skin, leaving behind soft, clean feeling skin with no horrible residue. The scent also lingers long after you've got out of the shower too, which is a huge bonus.

It can also be used outside of the shower like a moisturiser! Also, a little tip for you…pop your sorbet into the fridge before using for an ultra cooling exprience.

£8 isn't a bad price for the size of the product and you only really need a little bit of product to create a nice lather. Little did I know there is a whole range of body sorbet's available so I will definitely be trying some of the other scents in the future.

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub

soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub
Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub - £8

Now, I'll admit I bought this purely because of the smell. It's very similar to Lush's Snow Fairy but just a tad sweeter. It contains brown sugar, lime, almond oil and macadamia granules, which give you the 'scrub' texture. The lime scent is really strong and it just fills the entire bathroom instantly when you use it.

For £8 this is not too bad as you get loads of product for your money. I picked this up because I wanted to use it on my legs so they're somewhat presentable for when we do finally get some warm weather. I've been using it for a couple of weeks and I have really seen an improvement in my skin after using it, it's much more softer and feels more polished and smooth.

There is just one little thing that annoys me about this product… the fact that most of it seems to end up falling down onto the bath. Unlike a lot of other scrubs I've used, this seems to slide around and doesn't really stay in place when you're rubbing it in. It's not easy to get off the bath either, you really have to scrub it off (ironic!) and it can get quite frustrating as I end up using more product to make up for what's fallen down. I'm not sure if this is just me being completely stupid or if anyone else has found this as well, let me know if you have!

Have you used this? Let me know your thoughts.

Garnier Body Ultimate Beauty Oil

Garnier Ultimate Beauty Oil
Garnier Body Ultimate Beauty Oil - £4.99

Hello lovely new body product. Now, I wasn't actually too sure about this product when I first saw it on the shelves in Boots. I thought it looked like some kind of tanning product that would leave my skin really greasy and oily but it has certainly proved me wrong.

I haven't really been using many body products recently, which is bad as Winter is probably the time you should be using lovely moisturisers and things on your skin, but it's always much too cold to do so after getting out of the shower in this weather! I can now just about bare applying products once I get out of the shower and the first one I've been using is this Garnier Body Ultimate Beauty Oil.

As you can guess it is an oil but it's lovely and lightweight and doesn't leave the skin feeling greasy at all. You only need a quick mist as you have enough product to cover the area. It's really fast drying, which is perfect when you quickly want to get dressed and it doesn't leave your skin feeling at all slimy under your clothes.

It has a subtle scent due to the four oils within it, Argan, Macademia, Almond and Rose, which isn't too overpowering and is just right on the skin. It really lingers for a good few hours too, which is lovely.

One thing I would suggest with this is to use it while standing on some sort of towel as it is a spray so it will go all over the place and your boyfriend will walk into the bathroom and wonder what the hell you've been doing.

I would really recommend this product as it leaves the skin feeling super soft and nourished and for £4.99 you can't really go wrong!

Bathroom biggies

Bathroom beauties

Make way for the big guns of bathroom beauty! Last week's post featured some of my fave mini miracle bathroom products such as bath gels, shower gels and bubble baths but this week's post is dedicated to some of the bigger products I use on a regular basis.

My Aussie Aussome Volume Shampoo is one I use religiously. I do tend to have little breaks from it as my hair can get a bit used to it and the volumising action isn't as noticeable but it is definitely one I keep coming back to. It smells so amazing as most of you probably know and the size of the bottle means it lasts forever!

I'm actually rotating the Aussie shampoo with the new L'Oreal Fibrology shampoo, which I dedicated a post to yesterday, but about once a week I use Toni & Guy's Cleanse Shampoo as a bit of a detox/treatment for my hair. It removes dirt and product build up from the hair and it leaves it feeling lovely and soft and clean. I'd definitely recommend!

In the bathroom I have a normal shower gel that I use, but it's unscented so I like to get some extra little scented goodies such as Dove's Go Fresh shower cream in Blue Fig. This is an amazing scent that just fills the entire bathroom and lingers on the skin for a good while after application.

For moisturisers I always go for Nivea's In Shower Body Moisturiser, which is absolutely amazing. It's lovely and thick and creamy so I tend to use loads but it leaves the skin feeling super duper soft all day long. For £3.40 you can't really go wrong. I'm going to be upping my usage of this as spring/summer arrives and I try to get my legs looking somewhat presentable for dress wearing.

Bathroom beauties

Bathroom beauties

There's nothing I like more than sweet smelling products in the bathroom. Showering has got to be the most boring thing to do so some lovely scented products always improve the process. I recently went on a Lush spree and picked up the ever popular Snow Fairy, which unfortunately is only Limited Edition, so I better not use it all up too soon. The scent is absolutely amazing and I'm going to dedicate an entire post to all of its glory very soon!

I recently also picked up the Elemis Spa@Home Body Beautiful Duo and I'm absolute loving them. The bath elixir is a gorgeous product that really coats the skin and feels lovely when you're laying in the bath. The shower gel is really invigorating and awakening, so perfect for the early mornings!

I'm trying to have more baths and really take some time to relax a bit and the Noble Isle Bath & Shower Gel is another lovely product that I regularly use. I first discovered the brand in a Glossybox and was really disappointed when I ran out but luckily late last year I received another in a different beauty box and was so pleased. This smells amazing and is another product that coats the skin and leaves it feeling super soft.

You can't have a bath without bubbles so I'm quickly getting through the Sanctuary Luxury Bath Float as it creates great loads of bubbles. You can't beat it!

Elemis Spa@Home Body Beautiful Duo - £7.20

Elemis Spa@Home Body Beautiful Duo

I wish I had featured these little products before Christmas as they make a really great stocking filler. Maybe you can stock up ready for next Christmas?

I bought this little duo at The Clothes Show Live for £7. This is a little cheaper than normal prices, when they're usually around £9 or so. Sales not included.

The two products come in a cute little drawstring bag and are a really great, reasonable size for the money. You only need a tiny bit of product on each use so you really do get your money's worth. The shower gel has a great, refreshing scent that really wakes you up in the mornings. The bath elixir is another gorgeous product that I love to use. It creates lots of lovely, relaxing bubbles but what I really love about this is the fact that when you submerge yourself in the water you can really feel the elixir working it's magic on your skin. It feels silky smooth and what's even better is that there's no work on your part, you simply dip yourself in the water and let it wash over you.

Weleda Pomegranate Gift Box

Weleda Pomegranate Gift Box

Weleda Pomegranate Gift Box

This Weleda Pomegranate Gift Box is the perfect Christmas gift for the bodycare lover in your life. It's not your usual everyday 'smelly' set you'd buy from any old shop, this set is much more luxurious. For around £30 you can choose from a variety of different scents including Pomegranate, Wild Rose, Citrus and Sea Buckthorn, which sounds particularly interesting! The Pomegranate scent is absolutely amazing, I can't describe to you how good it smells.

The set comes with a new regenerating body lotion, which prevents the premature ageing of skin. Something everyone can do with a little bit of! The formulation includes pomegranate seed oil, apricot kernel oil and shea butter to help keep the skin lovely and soft and the product itself is a fab size so it will last absolutely ages.

The creamy body wash is absolutely gorgeous. One of the best things ever is using a wonderfully scented product in the shower. It makes me want to stand in there all day long just so I can keep smelling the lovely scents. The wash is actually infused with pure essential oils of sandalwood davana and neroli so you know you're onto a winner! It's also loaded with nutrients that leaves the skin super soft.

The gift box costs £30.90 and personally I think its absolutely worth every pound. It's a lovely gift to receive and I'd love to try some of the other scents out!

Will you be buying the gift box for anyone you know?

Anatomicals 'help the paw' Hand Cream

Anatomicals 'help the paw' Hand Cream
Anatomicals 'help the paw' Hand Cream - £3

Hooray, another Anatomicals product! I received this in a recent beauty box and I was so pleased as I was such a huge fan of the 'no old bags allowed' eye gel I also received in a beauty box.

I couldn't wait to try this out because as you probably already know, I'm constantly looking for hand moisturisers/cream, especially for the cold weather we're now getting. The packaging is bright and fun and if you read the product descriptions you'll have a right giggle.

The moisturiser contains Vitamin E and is extremely moisturising but you really only need a tiny bit. I went a bit mad when I first tried this and used quite a large amount of moisturiser, which left my hands really wet for ages afterwards. A pea sized amount is definitely the way forwards and my hands feel lovely and soft afterwards.

I can't believe this is only £3. It is such a bargain for 100ml of great product. It would make a fab Christmas stocking filler or I'm sure you could create a bit of a pick 'n' mix of products for someone's birthday or for Christmas.

What's your favourite hand cream/moisturiser?

Dr Ceuticals Super Repair Hand Cream

Dr Ceuticals Super Repair Hand Cream
Dr Ceuticals Super Repair Hand Cream - £9.99*

I'm on a constant mission to find good hand creams. I currently have a handbag sized Lanolips one, which I love, but now I have a fullsize one I can apply in the mornings and the evenings as part of my routine.

I'm sure I've said this before but I suffer from Psoriasis on my hands but for a while now I've kept it at bay, however in the winter it tends to come back. Central heating tends to make my hands quite itchy and if I'm shopping and popping in and out of shops then my hands are really affected by the different heating systems and being put in heat then being put back out in the cold air. They swell up a bit and become really itchy. It's not nice at all so I'm always looking for a hand cream to help calm them down.

I'd never heard of the Dr Ceuticals brand before but I was recently sent this hand cream and I really love it. There's a fine line between keeping my hands moisturised and moisturising them so much that the products begin to irritate the skin. I have to be careful how often I use products but I've been using this hand cream for a little while now and there's so far been no irritation. It's lovely and moisturising and leaves my hands feeling super soft afterwards.

There's no awful scent and it quickly absorbs into the skin. I've been using this mostly in the mornings and it's really soothing and keeps my hands moisturised for most of the day. For £9.99 this is definitely something I would purchase myself as it really is battling the dryness away. It also has anti-ageing properties, which is always a plus too.

Have you tried this hand cream yet?

Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser

Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser
Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser - £3.56

Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser
I was really interested to try the new Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser as I find moisturising after a shower to be one of the most annoying things ever! Once you're out of the shower and have got yourself nice and dry you then apply your body lotion/butter/moisturiser and no matter how quick the product claims to 'sink in', it's never quite quick enough.

The In-Shower moisturiser makes life 100 times easier as you simply apply it after your shower gel. It 'sinks' into the skin and you wash it off and voila! No more hanging around the bathroom waiting for your skin to dry in order to get dressed!

I picked up the version for dry skin and it really left it feeling lovely and soft. The smell is also really nice and refreshing, it made me feel like I was on holiday. The product itself is thick and lovely to apply. For £3.56 it's a real bargain too and the amount of product will last absolutely ages. It's definitely something I'd recommend.

Lanolips Rose Balm Intense for hands and nails

Lanolips Rose Balm Intense
Lanolips Rose Balm Intense for very dry hands and nails - £5.99*

Lanolips Rose Balm Intense

Lanolips Rose Balm Intense
I'm always very wary when it comes to using hand products. A lot of products seem to set off my psoriasis and when I was sent this hand cream I thought the same may happen again. My hands were actually itching a bit and I could see the onset of psoriasis coming but I thought 'what the hell' and used the balm anyway. Amazingly it really soothed my hands and stopped them itching.

This is a purse-sized balm for very dry hands in particular. It is based on Lanolips' signature Medical Grade Lanolin, which is hypoallergenic and alcohol free - in other words, it's perfect for me.

The balm is a lovely peachy pink colour and you only really need a pea sized amount. It's lovely and thick and rich. It does have a slight scent to it, which is quite possibly the shea butter coming through mixed with rose oil. Its really hydrating and leaves my hands feeling soft and lovely for the rest of the day after application.

I was really impressed with the soothing qualities of this balm and for £5.99 I would definitely recommend it.

Clarins Instant Smooth Crystal Lip Balms

Clarins Instant Smooth Crystal Lip Balms
I was recently sent these two gorgeous lip balms along with the eyeshadow palette from the Clarins Summer 2013 range and I was really impressed! I'm more of a lip balm than a lipstick kind of girl but these are like two in one. Perfect for someone like me.

It's exactly like a regular lipstick but when I opened Crystal Gold I was really surprised to see a green shade surrounding the pigmented lipstick core. Luckily the outer shades are the moisturising balm areas so you don't end up with green lips. The shades running through the middle are lovely and soft and highly pigmented.

Crystal Rose and Crystal Gold are gorgeous red and pink shades, very subtle and not too overpowering. The balms are really soft and moisturising and feel lovely to apply.

These lip balms are not only interesting to look at but they're absolutely lovely to wear and the packaging is insanely gorgeous to look at. For £17 they would be something of a special treat if I were to purchase them myself but there are some things that are just too amazing too pass up.

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash
I wasn't aware that Soap & Glory had recently releases some new products in their range. I was browsing the collection at Boots and spotted a few new bits, including the Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash.

I picked it up on a bit of a whim as the packaging just looked lovely and I felt the need for a new shower product. When I got this home and tried it out it was amazing! The smell is absolutely divine, I just can't get enough of it.

It's a lovely, foaming body wash that comes in a huge 500ml bottle with pump and it's loaded with lime and kiwi scents which are gorgeous! The smell really reminds me of some childhood sweets and it just makes the entire bathroom smell lovely.

It's a bit difficult to hold and use the pump while your in the shower but I can totally forgive that thanks to the scent alone. It leaves your skin feeling soft and lovely, but it doesn't really linger on the skin once you're out of the shower, which is a tad disappointing.

All in all it's a wonderful product and I would highly recommend it to those that are won over by scents alone. It's definitely worth the £6.50 as there is so much product so will last absolutely ages!

Sure Women Maximum Protection

Sure Women Maximum Protection
Sure Women Maximum Protection - £5.30

I find that beauty blogs often lack reviews of products that are necessities to us all so I just had to post about this new magic product I've been testing out!

I don't know about you girls (I'm presuming most of my readers are girls, sorry if you're not!) but I've struggled to find a really good deodorant/anti-perspirant for years and years!

I've tried to many different brands and while they do their job well as in keeping me smelling nice, they don't tend to prevent sweating.

Most deodorant/anti-perspirant sprays and roll-ons will leave you feeling dry to start with but if it's a hot day I've found that they don't prevent stickiness and wetness.

I think I read about the Sure Women Maximum Protection anti-perspirant deodorant on Twitter as a fair few bloggers were raving about it.

I think £5.30 is quite expensive for something like this (they seem to be getting more expensive every week) but it's is SO worth it as it really works! It's quite similar to a roll-on but you turn the dial and it dispenses the product which you then use as normal.

It leaves you completely dry all day long! I used it last week when it was absolutely boiling hot, almost 30 degrees and I didn't break a sweat at all! Not even while I was sat in a hot, stuffy office. I'm pretty sure this project is magic?! It's absolutely brilliant!

The directions actually say this product should be applied before bed, which I find a bit weird? However, while you sleep it works its magic and the protection will last throughout the next day, even after a shower!

I've not actually tried out this method as I'm pretty happy with what I've been doing so far.

I can't recommend this product enough!

Elemis Pro-radiance Hand & Nail Cream

Elemis Pro-radiance Hand & Nail Cream
Elemis Pro-radiance Hand & Nail Cream
Elemis Pro-Radiance Hand and Nail Cream 100ml - RRP £22*

I was very kindly sent this amazing new Elemis product, that's not yet available in stores. I was expecting to receive a small sample type packet but I received a full size 100ml product and I absolutely love it!

I've been looking for a good hand cream for a while now. I get very dry skin/Psoriasis on my hands and every cream I've tried has irritated them. They're also very sensitive to hot/cold temperatures and I sometimes feel them swelling if I go from being outside, to somewhere inside that's particularly warm, such as a shop.

I've used lots of medicated creams and special Psoriasis creams and moisturisers which have helped for a limited time and I do go back to using them when it gets particularly bad, but I wanted something that I could use every day/pop in my handbag and carry around with me. Although it's a bit large for my handbag, I've been using the new Elemis Pro-radiance Hand & Nail Cream for a little why and am finding that my hands feel lovely and soft and there's no itching, which is great.

The dry skin on my palms is gone and my usually sore/flaky cuticles look lovely and healthy. I think I've finally found a winning hand cream!

The hand cream is part of the new Elemis Spa@Home range and is also filed in their anti-ageing category. The cream includes Omega 7, Avellana seed oil, Macademia seed oil, Virgin plum oil and last but not least, Camellia seed oil! It's also formulated to be silicon free and is designed to stay on the skins surface and not leave a tacky/sticky feeling after application, which I absolutely hate!

Almost instantly after application, I can go about my business as usual instead of having to sit and wait five minutes for it to 'sink in'. It not only smells lovely, but I think it's also priced pretty reasonable for an Elemis product!

Will you be trying it out when it's this month? I'd certainly recommend it!

L'Occitane Hibiscus Flower

I can't believe how long it has taken me to get this post up! I actually got the L'Occitane Limited Edition Hibiscus Flower hand cream free in an issue of Marie Claire magazine back in September/October and it's been sat in my little review box ever since.

I've never tried L'Occitane until this product as I always saw the brand as quite expensive, somewhere up there with the likes of Elemis and one of those products I always see on QVC, which instantly puts me off.

When I saw that Marie Claire were giving away 3 or 4 different hand creams, I had to get my hands (lol!) on one and decided on the Hibiscus Flower simply because it looked and sounded the nicest of the lot.

The hand cream is available on the L'Occitane website for £7.50, which surprisingly, isn't that expensive at all! It contains 20% shea butter (always a good thing) as well as honey and almond extracts and of course, that lovely Hibiscus scent which is gorgeous!

It's a really light hand cream and sinks in rather quickly which I always love. I can't stand using a moisturiser and having clammy hands for five minute afterwards. It leaves your hands feeling really soft and I've been suffering from really dry skin lately so it's great! My favourite thing about this hand cream is the lovely packaging. It really stands out and is easily identifiable as L'Occitane.

L'Occitane would actually make great gifts for Christmas. I've brought my Nan the L'Occitane Hand Cream Trio Collection, which I nabbed for £18 instead of £20. I previously saw L'Occitane as a product for the 'older generation' but have been completely proved wrong because it's for people of all ages! I'd love to receive some more products for Christmas, perhaps I'll add some to my wishlist!
