MUA Makeup Academy

How on earth is it already March? I can't believe it, this year is going so quickly already! I've only two weeks to go until my Work Experience placement at Red magazine!

Anyway...shopping always cheers me up and since I've been hearing very good things about Superdrug's MUA collection, I thought I'd pop into the store and have a look for myself. The nail polishes immediately caught my eye because they are so cute and tiny, unfortunately I had most of the colours on offer already but 'Shade 7' caught my eye. There's no official name for the colour but it's a gorgeous deep burgundy colour with a hint of shimmer that I definitely need for a little a change!

As I've been playing around with my camera today, you're being treated to some much better shots than the ones I usually take on my mobile phone. I'm still not confident but I'm hoping to take more pictures with a proper camera. The colour was really hard to catch but I think I just about managed it here.

The colour is really gorgeous and shimmers when it catches the light. One coat is definitely enough and it's super easy and smooth to apply, plus, it drys in the blink of an eye!

I also purchased an eyeshadow from the collection after seeing it on GrazedKnees. The colour is very 'me' so I had to pick it up. Called 'Pearl,' it's a shimmering Gold/Brown and is the sort of eyeshadow colour that I love.

Soft powders with high pigment and shimmer, that easily blend, allow you to create a look from natural to all out glamour.

This shadow will work pretty well as a main colour thanks to the striking high pigmentation but if you fancy something more dramatic, it will work wonders as a highlighter, to give a little glitz to smoky eyes and even brighter colours. As it's smudged the shimmer becomes more apparent and in the light it's utterly gorgeous!

They had a huge range of eyeshadows available so I'll definitely be picking up some more!
